I bought this new and waited for Jerry & Lidio to complete the kit. The car was garaged until the s/c was installed.Over :bigcry:the last four years I have changed the oil 7 times. The car has two programs (a flip of the switch), 91 octane & an additional 45 hp on 100 octane. My plan was to keep this car forever, but life does have its changes. It has been garaged at all times, with a Trilogy embosed Mercury car cover keeping it comfortable. It has had 1,500 fun miles put on it. Just want to get an idea of its value, as the Trilogy kit is not smog legal in California and it's coming up on the 1st smog in April. I'll probablby have to sell it out of state.

Tom, I wish I was in a position to make you an offer on your car.
Me? I'd probably take the registration off and store it, if I were in your shoes.

With the way the ecomony is going, and the miles on the car, I would hope at least $18,500 +/- $2,500.

All it takes is just the RIGHT person.

ditto, if you can do this. if you need cash, then the loss you'd take on this is worse than if you could get a loan. Your MM sounds like a real collector car by all means. I'd say is worth closer to $25K but that's not what the market is bearing right now.

Low miles with Trilogy, in mint+ condition you likely are looking at 25-30K if you wait for it.

If you went to Barret Jackson you would get more on a good day. Put a 25K limit on it and see what it does.

I'm thinking that Killjoy is in the right area.

It is blue, mint with 1500miles and Trilogised.

With full paperwork, numbers and documentation it should go for more than 20.5K.

Asking price should be 25-30K sale price 22-27K.

Check the California Air Resources (CARB) website. When I checked it last week two Vortech Superchargers were approved for use on the 2003-04 Marauder. You may wish to take it to an official smog testing station and see if it passes before you sell such a superb vehicle to someone else who may not fully appreciate a Trilogized Blue Pearl MM. :beatnik:

That depends on how anxious the seller is.
If he has to part with the car overnite he may have to settle for wholesale.
I doubt this car has to be sold anytime soon.
Someone will step up and pay a good price for the car.

Assuming "cash now" is not the purpose, I agree he should take it to Barrett Jackson and set a minimum price of $25k. This car needs to go to a true collector who will also keep it garaged, not some goon like me who would make it his DD and get it dinged, scratched, stained, chipped, and otherwise generally used up! It may never pull $80k,but with its low miles and DBP paint it is special.

I wonder if we have all been had and if this car really exists.

Lets see. I have decided to break up with my 21 year old blond haired, blue eyed smokin hot girlfriend. She is 38-24-36 with a pair of perky, natural Double D's. She is so beautiful that she makes Cameron Diaz look like an old hag. Her family is incredibly wealthy. They own a stable of Ferrarris, Porsches & Pearl Blue MM's as well as a chain of liquor stores, a winery and a brewery which they allow us to enjoy for free any time we want. She is incredible in bed and wants it all of the time. The problem is that I don't feel I am ready for a commitment right now and I plan to dump her. Anybody want me to set them up on a date? :neener:

Hello eveyone,
Thank all of you for your input and thoughts regarding my smog dilema. I thought I responded back to those of you with a PM, but obviously i did something wrong. I am the ultimate techno dinosaur. I don't own a computer(this is being done from my office), cell phone or digital camera. I'll see if I can borrow a camera, and then have someone put the pictures of my car on this site. Jerry and I were working on the CARB certification for California when we learned production was ending. Whith so few sold in California Jerry decided not to spend the $25,000 on certification. I understand, however I'm stuck. As you all know I,ve got about $40,000 invested. I would need to get $25'000 for the car or I'll probably no-op it and keep it garaged. I know it's 4 yrs old-but is is like show-room condition. I'v got the #13 trilogy logo shirt, a small & xl jackets, one of a kind custom Trilogy logo'd car cover and more. All documentation as a new purchase, articles, manuals, and dyno results from when Jerry and Lidio were out here. If anyone is serious, I invite you to our home for a weekend of wine tasting in the beautiful "Valley of the moon" Sonoma, California, to drive the car and some special wines. If you want the car you can drive it home or have it shipped. If you should question my or the cars integrity, I urge you to talk to either Jerry Barnes @ Trilogy, or Lidio @ Alternative Auto.
Take care, Tom

Zack

Tom, you need to find a relative who lives out of state and register it there.

Take the car to that state for smog and plan a vacation around it!

Also, explore the different licensing options Califirnia has. If you can have it documented as a true collector car (ie 1 of 327) you might be exempt from smog all together.
