Spotted Black MM with Florida plates parked in lot with S55 emblems. Drivers front quarter was dented and scuffed. This MM was not with the mini meet.

That was me.:(

Remember this thread?

I "hate" looking at my Marauder like that but I am waiting until I get back to FL to have her fixed. I am picky and I want it done right by someone who's work I have seen.

In about 10 days, I will be dropping off the car with JJ.

By the way, I didn't attend the meet because it seems like my posts are invisable in those threads. Oh well.

What happened with your posts? I thought there was only one post where you showed interest in the fishing idea?

I don't know the group since I am from FL and only come up here for a few months (to run my business).

I introduced myself and expressed interest in the fishing idea (while it was still an option) yet received no welcome or encouragement to join the group in any shape or form (almost like my post was invisible).

I don't think it was anything personal, but I guess that I am used to how we treat guests in the SSM. We would have jumped on the idea for a member(s) from other areas to join us.

Believe it or not, I even had a member FROM FLORIDA personally call me to make sure that I "knew" about the events here.

Like I said in the other thread, I am glad to hear that ya'll had fun.

Many of us met each other for the first time on Saturday and anyone can be a "member" as there is no swearing-in or secret handshakes. It was very informal, everyone was welcome, and the times and locations were posted for everyone to see... Post up and show up... Having a Marauder was not even a requirement.

I've met several of the SSM guys and y'all are definitely top notch. I'm sure that you treat guests well and I am sorry that you feel as if you were ignored.

I kinda feel like you are accusing us of being an unfriendly bunch and that is definitely not the case. If I were in Florida, I doubt if I would expect someone to hold my hand and lead me to the MM sandbox...

I don't want you guys to get the wrong impression of what I am trying to state.

I don't know how one can assume that I needed (or even wanted) my hand held. I do know, however, that if a member from another area were to post even remote interest in joining "any" event that I was organizing (or was even planning to participate in), believe me, he would have at the very least received a welcome.

This isn't directed at anyone in particular and I have no hard feelings towards anyone. I come up here to run my stores so that was my first priority and have been coming here for the last 17 yrs. so not much impresses me anymore.

There is always next time.

It would have been nice to meet up with you. You are a multi-area Marauderer. When you are here you are CAM. Next visit to OC i'll send you a PM.
