Ok, I've seen in other threads that maybe some early MMs came with godshead valve caps, these are not them . But for those of you who would want something like that, this is what i did. I already had regular Merc logo caps, then bought some bumper sticker paper, and then just printed out the image. Then just cut and stick. Some might say just too many godshead logo, but I figure its better than the "flying M".

How long you think that'll stay put and look good before you'll have to put on another?

Not too sure, i figure since the paper was made to be kept on a car, should last....well, no clue. But it has been in the rain, and in +100 degree heat already.

I won't believe there were ever any godshead caps from the factory till someone posts a pic of one. I've yet to see a pic anywhere. From the first day I saw my car back in June, 2002, it's had just some decent looking metal caps. No godshead though. Somebody got a pic?

Racerx88 - The Gods head caps are just a myth. IMHO.

Hmmmm....Dice and cards is what got me the car in the first place, so.....I never leave home without 'em. I do believe that there may be some card paying in TX too (I packed a few decks "just in case"). Bring your pink slips....
Hey, if you want to take the caps you made for yourself one step further, Logocaps (the folks that made the caps you have) will do a custom run of god's heads if we have enough interest. I was going to have 'em made up but I spent a trunk load of $$$ on pins and badges and I need to cover costs on those first. Of course, that would be easier if some of the 'Lanta boys would pry their wallets open and buy a set!

I remember that saga, and someone ordered those parts too. Turned out to be the rubber/chrome sleeved valve stem assembly, for like 27 bucks, or something like that...
