I hit the track for the last time last night.
It was a good evening overall, but less than expected with the street tires.

Big old fat radials are on my list for 2009.

Lots of slipping and sliding, a little bit of holding on for dear life, but I bettered my numbers.

11.66 @ 121.60 mph.
A 60' time of 1.86 clearly indicates the Nitto 420 light truck tire has its limits at the track.

I am happy for now, and just anticipate the day that I will be able to hit the spray from the starting line and stay in it the entire way down the track.

On a local note...Dragway 42 in West Salem Ohio is officially on my "don't do that list". Since the track repaving last year, the course is awefull, and in my opinion dangerous. The asphalt track is wavy and pitched terribly. It is very difficuly to maintain a straight line regardless of tire setup if one is running better than 12's.

AVOID THIS TRACK!

Ding Cruz, you almost pushed me out of the top 10. You have been a poisonous bug since the N/A days. I still have a couple of events in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully I will see a 11.5 or 11.6 without going on the bottle. :D

Good times Barry! Sounds like you have a lot more left in her.

Barry, that MPH equates to 11.20-11.30's with 100% traction.

Your combo is pretty wicked, imagine when you up the boost from 10 to 20

1.8 60' is pretty damn good actually!! (for not having drag radials or slicks)

Most of my 60's on slicks at my HORRIBLE HORRIBLE track I get around 1.70's

Wah. You are just crying that you were not as fast. You had been whining to race since you got Boost, and it finally happened. Your car fell on it's face, and mine ran like a bat outta hell.

My goal w/ the car was to run a 12.5. I beat the living snot out of that number, so yeah... I was DAMN HAPPY!

AVOID THIS TRACK!Great time Barry! So the track got worse since the last time we were there.I felt the waves last time so the underlay problem still exists from that swampy area nearby, well that stinks. And what really stinks is if Norwalk gets its sanction,we wont be able to rent it anymore :(

Must have been in the left lane? I ran the left lane once, and the right lane the rest of the night. I felt the bumps at the top of the track in the left lane, no issues with the right lane. C'mon dude...it's not that bad. I went 2 weeks ago, and 9 and 10 second cars ran all night no issues.

True, but those 9 and 10 second cars are not 4500 pounds!
They also arent running regular radials on the front and slicks on the back...makes a HUGE difference. ;)
