We have a local shop that installs Jasper engines all the time and has good results with few complaints. Thing is, if it doesn't work, they fix it; you won't get that from a junkyard. Something to think about if you are considering a replacement engine, the + - '97 Cobra motor has stronger crank, rods and pistons. It might be worth getting a re-manufactured one of those for about the same price. Another consideration would be to check out Ford's racing catalog and buying a crate engine or short block.

Ford now offers a nice warranty to go with their remanufactured engines. Or check www.car-part.com .

For a "engine" they are OK. I am not sure I would put a Jasper in a marauder.

Now what happened to your motor?

Why not re-build it?

Uhhhh.... for that price you could easily get a Good Used Cobra Block, a Ford Block, or your's rebuilt (assuming it does not have a window).

I've heard of some Jasper engines having some cylinders different oversize than others. That's enough to scare me away
