Well this morning I wake up to my dog making aweful noises and not breathing. He's freaking out, my other dog is freaking out, wife is going nuts and...what do ya know I freaked out just a hair. Called the vet, threw him into the back of the MM, and hauled ass like no other. I get there and he had some sort of alergic reaction and his throat was swolen shut and he wasn't moving much. They put an airtube down his throat and he started breathing. Thank god. :banana2:
We have no idea what triggered it but he's home and fine now.
Apparently I drove a little too crazy and he made a 4" gash in the bench seat.... (he's a 70lb shep mix)
Anyone ever replace this? :help: I have a cover I usually use when I have to drive the pups somewhere but I really didn't have the time to install it.

I just bought a new lower seat cover brand new from ford through "Ray the dealer" who is on this website. I can't remember exactly how much I paid but I can look it up when I get home. It wasn't as expensive as you'd think.

No input on the cover but I am glad to hear your dog is going to be okay.

Here is the seat ripper... He's the big one.
Normally I'm the type of guy that would be FURIOUS about this but these pups are my family and they come first.

Thank God your dog is OK! That is such a terrifying situation. A ripped seat is nothing compared to your dogs life.( Funny how a crisis puts things in perspective) You could look for a replacement at a salvage yard. It should be easy to swap out. Good luck and glad everything worked out.

I had a problem with my four legged buddy, and drove to the 24hr emergency vet with the same "Fast and Furious" style that I'm sure you did. Getting to the vet was the number one priority, the car can always be repaired.

I would of had my wife go and hold him while I was doing it but when he started all this she had just gotten out of the snower and litterally had a towl to wear. I'm very lucky our vet is only about 1/2 a mile from my home. I had one quick turn and pretty sure thats when he went "oh $@%^" and dug in for gription. LOL
MM.net is a great community. I'm already talking to someone via PM about a cover. I also called my friend that works at a dealer in UT and found out the cost of a new one isn't very bad at all.

Glad your dog made it through and is healthy! Any idea what caused the allergic reaction?

No, He is alergic to normal dog food but has never had a "Reaction" he'll just itch alot. He gets Kangaroo & oats for food. He's damn lucky we love him, he's expensive. The doc gave him an injection I think of adrinaline. I've been home with him all day and he's going nuts. I let him outside and he's ran multiple laps in the yard and he's driving the other dog nuts because he wants to play. I should make a large hampster wheel with an alternator on it and save on my power bill. The Vet rocks. He gave me his personal cell number and said to call if he has any problems.

Sorry to hear that bro. I had my drivers side 'butt' cushion fixed along
with a new leather cover; same with the passenger side, by a very
good Uphostery place. It cost me $600.00. The guy said
he was surprised how cheap the leather covers were from Ford.
Im not sure how much the back cover cost though...
