Should it be stiff? Or kinda loose?

Some clunking if you really let off and then intentionally very quickly tip in, is normal. There are two places where you HAVE to have some lash in your rear -- backlash between ring and pinion, and also lash between the spider gears. The combined lash has to be there for your rear to function, and if you let off and get on it just right it will clunk. It's a RWD car and its gonna happen.

A large clunk is probably not normal. You could have worn spiders, worn posi clutches (the spiders get further apart from each other as the clutches wear down and get thinner), or excessive backlash from a gear or bearing problem.

ANd of course U joints as mentioned.

Can't tell online which is the problem.

Na its not continuous. I think i may be just tryna catch up since the rmp was so high and then goes way down. But i do have black fluid all around the bottom of the rear. on the outside of the gasket

My backlash has always been a little on the loose side just as your describing. Is this something new?

I finally found out what the issue is.... The axle seal is bad. Needs to be replaced probably low on fluid back there thats where the clonk comes from. But the dealer is to replace the gears with the seal
