Well a new steering wheel is on order due to separation behind the radio controls - this sounds like a familiar problem! Has anyone had a problem since you've had it replaced? Mine has to be ordered - so we'll see when it comes in. I just had a 6k mile oil change and so far everything else is great except a right rear bang when I round a corner and go over a minimal bump!

I know of two others that it happened to. It must be a common problem. I will keep an eye on mine now.

I had my steering wheel replaced about a month ago. New one is good so far.

Marsha,

I have had the steering wheel replaced on both of my Marauders. The new wheels are very nice and seem to have corrected the problem. The dealer did not give me a problem about the warranty, given one of the cars had been modified with a supercharger. The other car is getting the supercharger installed this weekend. Sometimes that makes the dealers get a little picky about doing warranty work. Good luck with your replacement wheel.

Your other problem sounds strange. I would have someone take a look at that. If you are near Dearborn, MI. stop by, I can help!

Could the bang be related to the axle bearing problem?

Our 300A got the new steering wheel a month ago, same problem. The 300B is fine, maybe they fixed the probelm on the line with the later cars.

I have the steering wheel problem and keep forgetting to mention it when I take it in for service.

Could someone describe what to look for on this steering wheel problem. I only have 1400 miles on mine but I'd like to know what to watch for.

yes, that axle bearing problem. It does not effect all cars, but seems to me if bearings are filing, there could be a "bang" from it.
