Does anyone know the actual applications for the idler pulleys that Trilogy supplies in their kit? I was hoping to get them locally. These are the ribbed pulley that goes on the passenger side of the front cover and replaces the smooth one, and the pulley that is mounted to the new alternator bracket.

I have the Ford part numbers:

4W33-030504-004A1
4W33-030504-002A2

The Motorcraft site doesn't recognise these numbers...

Those don't look like Ford part #'s

I got the numbers from the Trilogy installation manual and they look sorta like Ford numbers so I just ass-umed they were. I guess I'll have to scare up the boxes they came in.

The # is right on the contents list of the NEWEST version of the Trilogy Manual.

4W33- is an engineering prefix for 2004MY Grand Marquis. The rest of the part number you listed isn't readily decipherable and do not look like standard Ford # system.

I was shorted that pulley when i bought mine used. I believe its only $17.00 and about a day wait thru the dealer.

Well, I finally had time to take things apart and found that the alternator bracket pulley had disassembled itself. It apparently had been running crooked for a while as both the alternator case and the engine's front cover have some scoring. That most likely is the noise I heard that I thought it was the alternator itself.

With some much-appreciated advice from Chuck (Tallboy) and a quick phone call to Jerry Barnes at Trilogy, a new pulley will be on its way shortly. I want to publicly thank Chuck and Jerry for providing top-notch customer service, as they always have.
