Made 5 pulls.

Before.... (blue line a little over a month ago) (12.7 A/F)
DR Tune & JLT intake.

After....
DR Tune & JLT intake, rear cats removed, intake spacer, and a little bit of tweeking on the tune on the hand held. (13.1 A/F)

Butt dyno did not let me down! 4.6rwhp 7.9rwtq gain. Its funny how the car is like "I'm making more power!!!!" Then at around 5100-5200ish the engine says "heh no your not..."

So why is it the MM's always take a small dive right there. My wife's 01' Cobra does nothing like this!! Her's dosn't start falling untill 5900rpm.

Next up!! Underdrives. But it won't be for a while. Then maybe if I feel the need after I get a welder I'll make my own offroad x-pipe.

Stock exhaust (manifolds) become restrictive right around 5K...Hence the drop...

I believe the '01 also has different cams.

Oh yeah,

Original baseline with the car having 0 mods is 248rwhp 247tq. Basicly everything I've done has picked me up 20rwhp & 47rwtq. Not bad. All runs were on the SAME dyno.

Cobra's also have better flowing (stock) exhaust manifolds...

So you guys think I should start keeping my eyes open for some 99-04 cobra manifolds? They'll just bolt right in, correct?

Not worth fooling with manifold swaps, go ahead and put headers on it.

Great numbers

The air is probably 25 degrees cooler than last month. Something to consider.

The SAE factor corrects that. The number for correction was different on each pull. The owner has been playing around with his CTS-V thats got a magy charger on it. Weither its 2am or 2pm his numbers are always within 1-2hp of each other. Unless...he turns the correction off.

I'd rather try and worth with something OE. On this car I don't want to chop it up to much. It is my daily that I need to haul clients around in. I LOVE how Jason's Kooks setup sounds but for my application it would be a bit to loud and costly. I've already got 2 other mustangs I'm consistantly modding/working on. I would however consider a "shortie" type header no problem.

Here is a pic of her getting onto the Dyno.

You can see Jason in his business attire on the left in the dark.

There's no chopping with either of the 2 long tube kits available. Neither kit is like the old Hookers either. They bolt on (albeit it is a job), and more importantly, they last. I have about 150,000 on my kit from Kooks (headers, x-pipe, cats, and mufflers). It's probably the single biggest gain in hp and torque you can do. I'll pm you my numbers.

Great numbers Matt, your car blows my mind with the numbers that it puts down.

As others have stated, the Cobra has a better flowing exhaust. And the cams are aimed at mid range torque.
