I got my box from SW and when I opened it I was super-duper surprised to find headers with NO FLANGES installed. I also specified 2-1/2" collectors and received 3" collectors. I have left a message with (Jeff?) them but I was wondering if maybe they misshipped them? I mean, the invoice has all my selections on it...how could it have been totally disregarded. I'm hoping someone else here got them and we can figure something out(With SW paying for shipping for sure)

BTW did any of you guys order yours with flanges installed? Did they come that way?

Allen - they come with no flanges 'cause you're supposed to run them open. It's no sin - c'mon, live a little.

See blazen...that's what I am looking for! I wouldnt have even been too ticked off if they send 3" collectors with flanges...although it would be more than I wanted.

I called Jim today at about 1PM and left a message. I will be calling him again at 2PM and then at 3PM and then at 4PM...you get the picture! I just want what I ordered...and I am sure not paying for retuen shipping!

Talked to the guys at SW today and reminded them what I ordered(What was on the invoice) and what I received were not the same! They said they would pay to ship it back and remedy the situation "Instantly" which I think is a great thing. I like "Instantly" even better than "Immediately". So far so good and kudos to them for returning VM's within an hour!

PS found what looks like a good speedshop in Daytona Beach, FL. any one in Sunshine Marauders heard of Raabe Racing? Let me know!

OK...issues answered and problems resolved! I received a ox while I was at SSHS8! It was my headers! The salesman at SW had told me that the OWNER and PLANT MANAGER had personally saw to my headers and made sure they were done how I wanted and then shipped them out within 48 hours of receiving them! That was quite impressive and I am thankful to them for their diligence on that.

I like was the salesman said to me when he called to update me on their status, he said "Man...most people can't afford to spend what it costs to have SW headers, shoot! I cant afford them right now at the price they are...so when a customer orders a product from us we need to be careful and concientious about handling their order". You know what guys? Thats a saleman(JIM) who when many others at SW lost their jobs in the recession and got laid off...DIDN'T. I guess we know why!

Kudos to SW...now on to installation!

BTW who you all had your headers coated and who didn't? I'm contemplating another wait as I send them to be coated in GA. SW coating was a little under $400, and I know it can be dont for around $200 at Todd's favorite company there.

Most coat them for aesthetics, though there may be some performance merit due to reduction in engine compartment temperatures and higher exhaust gas temperatures. For me, I didn't care about how it looked (they're stainless) nor did I feel I would benefit from any potential gains.
