Lets see a dyno sheet with stock manifolds and long tubes on an N/A car. Surely someone has done this?!

Anyone got a sheet of Cobra manifolds vs stock?

With my blower, I picked up 30 rwhp, and about the same rwtq.

N/A... :dunno:

I cannot help you with that information as mine were installed after the Trilogy was on for a spell and was dyno'd to tune for them and a 3.0 pulley at the same time.

I did some searching and found a little bit of info that helped. A dynograph gallery would be sweet with mods as search tags.

I'm trying to find mainly. Are there any shorties/manifolds that will infact "bolt on" with the stock H-pipe's. I'm looking for this because I just got done modifying my factory pipe and I'm satisfied with that for now. I do not want to go with the long tube setup or an offroad x because it will be to much noise.

Don't let sound (loud) turn you off from long tubes...

I will be running a three muffler set up (3rd muffler as the "X" cross-over) to keep the tone (loudness) at stock range...

Good Luck...

Good idea! ;) It'll quiet up the rest of the exhaust, but as for the headers... :D

I guess when I do long tubes on the wife's 01 cobra I'll take the bassani off-road X and manifolds and stick em on the MM. Upgrade 2 cars for the price of one. Not a bad deal. :)

Just so you know the x pipe from a stang doesn't clear the cross member for the tans, you'll need to ass some pipe

Can't seem to attach a file to a pm. Shoot me an email address and I'll send you my dyno sheet. I'd rather not post it on the intraweb.

Both were with a JLT and a modified exhaust system.

Both were actually at Reinhart's. The Speedfab is a friend of his he rents dyno time to for ricers. Just a name change in the program. Don't go all freakin out cuz it was two different shops.... it wasn't.

For the before, all you had was a JLT, modified exhaust (cats & mufflers??), and (I'm assuming) a tune?

Looks like decent gains, at peak numbers. Any chance you have the dyno files in electronic format? Then, they could be overlayed in WinPEP, and the changes throughout the whole rpm range could be seen...

Let me know what you think when it's installed, I'm pondering this method as well.

I have LTs, 3" collectors, no cats, H pipe, 3" pipe to the Muffler, and Dynomax super turbo mufflers, and my car is a ****y cat sound wise. Quieter than when I had stock manifolds, cats, 2.5" exhaust, x-pipe and magnaflow mufflers, and I'm making a good 80 more whp than I was before.

Those numbers (323 HP, 329 TQ) seem a bit high for the mods and MPH. What's your race weight? Was the 99.6 MPH run at this HP level? With similar N/A mods I was making just under 300RWHP and running anywhere between 99MPH and 101MPH with a race weight around 4400.

Well, it'd be the highest HP/TQ stock engine N/A car we have then, hence my question.

I know this is an old thread, but here's a tid-bit from Logan when he installed the first set of LT's (1st ones installed on a member's car). I ordered my set in August '03 when I found out Kooks had made some for a local NJ guy. Told Logan that Kooks might be interested in being a site sponsor... and then BAMMMM!!! Logan had a set of LT's before I even had a chance to install mine.

Anyways: I remember the original install write-up, which is now long gone. FordNut may have a copy saved somewhere (from what I remember). Here's a link to the original Dyno comparison numbers:
