SCT tuner on GM products?

Can the SCT tuner for my MM be used to detect and interpret codes thrown on a GM product (i.e. 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix)? I know that the scanners themselves are often the same for GM, Ford, and Chrysler, but I suspect different firmware.. Anyone try this? Any kind of success?

Install the MM tune in your GM and it will run much, much better!
