I'm not just posting this because a Marauder's in it. This has to be the funniest article about cars I've read that wasn't written by Jeremy Clarkson.

It sure had the scariest paint ever put on a car
I think we could have made it to number 9 but I'm happy to see the ol' MM place all the same. Woo!
And if you throw in a zack delete grille you've got yourself a real spook-mobile.

If Vader tools around in a GNX and the reaper has a Roadmaster wagon then Satan himself drives around in an Alfa Romeo Montreal. Don't let the name fool you: The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world that he was a Canadian. As Dante will tell you, the Antichrist is clearly an Italian guy and we don't imagine that his unholiness would drive around in a Ferrari. There's no doubt the Montreal's evil-looking grimace, angry NACA duct and 1970s Italian dependability make it the perfect car for lapping the eighth circle of Hell.
He is Canadian, sort of.
His name is Santa, which you wise few will realize is an anagram for Satan. He lives in Northern Canada and changes the holiday of the birth of Christ into a Holiday of giving and getting gifts. Greed, a time of holiday joy and Greed. Come on did you not ever wonder?
Rides a sleigh that flies through the sky pulled by several Horned flying beasts, one of which glows red.
Sleigh - Slay.
Elves - Slaves.
He has a work force of Slaves or Elves that work tirelessly year round and deliver to all the little kids gifts on the day they are supposed to be in chruch celebrating Jesus's life.
He slides down your fireplace, is immune to fire or at home in fire.
Doesn't any of this ring a bell?
Changed holy to Holly.
Anyway I wish you all a great Chirstmas.
(CC) I'll let you work that out.
I am the Diabolical1 CC.
What colour of Marauder do you think Santa would drive?

Interesting comments, the GN and GNX has already held a special place in auto history, will the Marauder also hold a spot "equal" to the buicks or just noted in history?
I know you all love your car's but can you give a realistic answer? I as an owner and have my personal feelings but have not set the standard ( as if there is one).

Marauder, scary? Really? A Honda civic can give it a run for its money.
And I love my Merc. But far from scary.
Hmm, scary slow. Or scary when hitting the crappy OEM brakes from a high speed. Yep. That's it.

Re: the Buick G N and/or G N X...one of my college frat bros had an '87 G N that would absolutely spank my '78 T A 6.6 WS6 4 speed (which had headers and a super tune) even when I was running cheater slicks back in the day...I have timing slips someplace around here in the very low 13s and this rascal would be two/three car lengths on me before we got to the lights...that G N time must be in question for sure

No, a stock GN really did run 13s, tested by many magazines. It's super easy to get them in the low 12s / high 11s though

I for one do not think the MM will come close to the following or appreciation of a GN. When the GN first came out, although I couldn't afford one, I looked at them often and most folks said they wouldn't be worth beans since they were an American car with a 6 banger. Lots of people realizing they are wrong now aren't they. And yep its a bad looking car.

You're absolutely right, the GN and GNX have a cult like following. There are not many cars that can say 25 years after production ended, companys are still developing new engine blocks / heads / etc for a one car application. To me the GNX is the Shelby Cobra of the modern era. There is no other car I personally hold higher...NONE. If you have not had the thrill of driving an actual GNX you don't know what your missing! Not to mention how rare they are.
All of that being said, I have come to really like my MM. The more time I spend with it and with all of you, the more I enjoy it. I just find it hard to believe that 15 years from now a private company will emerge (like T/A Performance) building new 4.6 blocks, cranks, and heads...its just not the same following...

Reading the Posts one item mentioned is Oh so true, when I bought my GN I was able to buy through our company and was able to get at the fleet price, normal dealers were adding $2,000-$4,000 on the sticker price just for a GN they had on the lot (note this was at the end, 1987 and GM told the public it was the last year) Gnx's they added more! So my car at the fleet price was close to $16,900 with ever option. The dealers were getting close to $18,000 to $20,000. for a loaded GN. at the same time you could get a Loaded Mustang for $12,000. SOOOOOOO what do think an 18-20 year old kid wanted or could afford! I don't believe any of us had an idea of the following, just one of those things. Also there has to be 5-8 strong forums still active. I read most and see changes made to them and hear the cash register ringing as they chop them up, it's a shame in a way but thats how things go. I've been lucky as I have never had to depend on my GN for daily transportation or the value and its been paid for for years. here again lucky.

I think it would. The Marauder has a great design that still looks better than most cars on the road. Especially, when the paint and wheels are looking good with the raked stance, it definitely stands out.
As you can tell, I'm a big fan and have been ever since 2002. :)

Jesus that thing hurts my eyes!
That f-u-g-gly turd gives the original Avalanche and Aztec (Or is it AssTec?) a run for the worst visual pollution on the planet!
A coworker of mine is a big Lexus fan and recently bought a new car to replace their RX 300 SUV.
They bought a new Mercedes and I asked them why...
They said that they could not stand how ugly the new Lexus' were....
Even Lexus fans cannot stomach that hideous grille and front end design ....:puke:
