I just found this on ebay and was wondering if anyone had heard or used something like this? Would it really work or would it be like getting a tune?

cool a overpriced resister. At first I thought it was going to be the electric blower thingy. Yes get a good tuner from a vendor on here.

Ignore it.

If it looks too good to be true, well, you know the rest..

No dice... search any car on ebay and they have the exact same thing...

Here is one for my volvo... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Volvo-C70-XC70-XC90-Next-Level-Performance-Chip-Module_W0QQitemZ200267789069QQ cmdZViewItem?hash=item20026778 9069&_trkparms=72%3A727%7C39%3A1%7C 65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

do you see any difference on advertising? Or any true knowledge of the actual vehicle?

Yup. XCal2 with a tune from Lidio or Dennis Reinhart is the way to go.

BTW, where in South Carolina are you located? I'm in Greenville.

Even the dyno sheets are made up, look at 2004 lightning (5.8L 321hp stock) seriously wtf

Its garbage, all of those universal miracle chips that plug into your battery are garbage.

They are simple resistors that cost 10 cents at your local Radio Shack. You stick the ends of the resistor into your IAT and it "tricks" your car thinking you have cooler air. When all they really do is throw a CEL. A kid at work bought one, had it installed and had me look at it since he had a CEL. I removed it and it went away. I dub you with this good sir:

I am glad so many people can be helpful by sharing their knowledge and then some can be dicks for someone asking for assistance. I am in Charleston SC. Thanks for everyone that has helped.

Also, it amazes me the thought process of many on this site as to what is most important to someone else's family choices. Folks who have never been married or had kids, think keeping a $600 "toy" is more important than their spouse being happy  . Some say getting the Misses another vehicle is a waste of money and it is not needed. Some of these same folks have 5+ vehicles, recently bought another, and spend money on "toys" like it is going out of style.

Yup..... WOW!

Hey Bob, I heard you work with my uncle, small world. He's upset that I sold my MM. He enjoyed driving it lol. At least he's getting my spare set of MM rims to toss on his Sport.
