What are the differences between the Police Interceptors v. Luxury sport, besides the better interior?

Stabilizer bars, 80mm mass air meter, springs, exhaust (no resonators), 3:55 gears (3:27 in lx sport) and I think the cams might be different. Oh yeah the lx sport has no posi in the rear.There might be more differences but this is what I can think of so far.

3.27s are standard in the CVPI. posi and 3.55s are an option The PCM does not use PATS.

Personally, id rather get a PI with a LXS rear swaybar and floormount shifter.

You misunderstood ... Minervino was noting the P71 variants. The 80mm MAF is a P71 component since 2004.

The LX Sport rear sway bar is not the HPP component (17mm versus 21mm); you'd be better served with the HPP (which BTW is standard on the Marauder).

CROWNMARAUDER ... I didn't think ford still made the LX sport's.
In 2008 it was the LX PREMIUM SPORT PERFORMANCE option (41K).

Did I miss something here? I was under the impression from everything posted that the Ford Crown Vic was HISTORY except for Fleet Purchase -- cabs & PIs.

So you all are saying the Crown Vic Sport LX is still alive?

Thanks for the compliments. Sticker price was $31,000 bought it as a finance manger's demo had 6,000 miles sold it to me for $21,500. Not a bad deal, traded in my 2006 Lincoln Zephyr at Jannell Ford in Hanover, Ma. and glad I did.

I'm sure you'll like the Vic better. I a Zephyr rental a few years back. Personally, I thought it sucked. I always rent "full size" or Luxury" w/ Hertz when I travel for work. I was shocked when I didn't get a Town Car that time. Maybe I'm just used to a bigger car? Congrats on the purchase. I wonder how the sport vic's compare to the Marauder in 0-60 times?

CV Sports are still slower. They still have 239hp/280ish tq

Exact times im not sure of. quarter mile is high 15's

and DBW is for the looze, but whatever.

Not to discourage you, but you could have bought a basically new Marauder with under 2k miles for considerably less than what you paid for your CV. Check the classifieds, there are quite a few.
