difference in a/c compressor?

Does anyone know if there is a difference in a/c compressors for mm's depending on the vin numbe?... this guy is tryin to tell me that there is but i think he just wants to charge me more..

how much? and why did u take it off? does it whine and make noises? cause mine still works just sounds like crap..

Replace the bearing, its less then $40 if I recall correctly and comes right off.

really? that would be great... i thought i had to replace the pully and clutch and my mechanic said it would be a pain cause u need the tools to align the clutch and he doesnt have the tools.. have you replaced the bearing before?
