It probably has to do with the fact he dropped off a 50lbs box on Wed.

Once out of the box, this is what I had:

A coffee mug for comparison in size.

What could it be?

Something is emerging:

Finally....

Ported and polished upper and lower Marauder intake with port-matched 62MM BBK throttle body, all powercoated silver.

Thanks to Red for a smooth transaction and the mountain of bubble wrap in which the intake was buried. It literally took 30 mins to unwrap it. ;)

Also, thanks goes to FordNut for all the time and effort he initially put into this set-up.

Looking forward to getting it installed soon and then having the rest of the supercharger piping powercoated to match.

Isn't stock 57 mm?
Yes. And the intake manifold is sized for that, too. So changing to a 62 mm without port-matching the intake is pretty much a waste of time & money. And if you're gonna port-match it you might as well polish & smooth the rest of the inside surfaces. Then, if the upper is so well prepped you might as well have the lower ported and port-matched to the intake gaskets.

Next step, since the intake is so smooth, it just makes sense to do the heads. It goes on & on...

Do you have time to do another? If so....... ;)

That's on the list.

Brian, you picked up about 30 RWTQ in the mid-range with this set-up, correct?

Something like that. No significant gains in the peak, mostly mid-range torque gains.

If it has fresh powdercoat, you probably want to chase the threads at the mounting points for the fuel rails. Since you got it pre-assembled the rest of the threads are probably ok.

It would cost well over $1000 to do one.

Steve: It's only money. You can always make more.

Sure but I think I heard somewhere the Secret Service frowns upon me making my own on the copier. :D

Thanks for your input, Fordnut and thanks to all who replied.

Looks good Steve, how hard was it to remove and replace, I think I might attempt to do my own as well, would you think it would within reason a knucklehead like me could do it?

Its a breeze. I still remember grinding out those darn knocksensor bungs for the trilogy. PITA!

Thanks. It looks so much cleaner. Now I just have to get the tubing powercoated to match.

Larryo340 was kind enough to email me the directions which helped greatly. PM me with your email address and I'll send them to you.

It's not difficult. Just time consuming. I think we spent more time burping the coolant system than anything else.
