Just a few random thoughts I've collected.
- Obey the traffic laws from all directions within a 30 mile radius of Ennis, the fuzz in Ennis is extremely good at what they do. Comes with having a huge dragstrip in your town...
- Bringing your own alocohol into the track is a no-no. Conceal it well or don't do it. They sell beer at the track at fairly reasonable prices...I suppose. Bringing water/soda/pop/food is no problem, and you may want to do just that for munchies.
- I'll be at the track Friday morning, most likely around 10-11am. Bob & I will be at the hotel doing up registration packets prior to that.
- The official FRS Radio Channel I'll be monitoring is Channel 5, Code 10 Should someone else be already using it, I'll switch to Channel 5, code 11.
- Bring proper attire for hanging out in the Sun for 3 days straight. Lots of sun screen and hats. We have the big tent, but other than that, there will be very little shade at the track.
- At the motorplex, if you're a registered attendee, enter through the Pits, NOT the main gate. The pit entrance is about an 1/8th mile west of the main entrance and is fairly clearly marked. The Pit entrance staff will have the registration list from this site, so just let them know you're with the roundup and give them your SCREEN NAME for admittance.
- In the pits, we have a 30 by 60 ft tent arranged for us. If you beat Bob or I to the tent Friday, please don't park under the tent. That area is for folks to relax in. You can back your cars up to the tent though, that'd be encouraged.
- Know who's boss...
This is the boss:

- Please appreciate ahead of time that Bob and I are undoubtedly going to be absolutely swamped the entire weekend and if we scurry off in the middle of a conversation or are doing ten things at once, it ain't personal. :)
- I get thirsty...alot. Buying Logan a beer at the track is always a good brown-noser type thing to do, and is always appreciated. :D
- If you've got a digital camera, bring it!! Take lots of pics!! I plan on putting together a 2 hour DVD of the event and can use all the Mpeg's and pics I can get my hands on.
- Registration is at 6pm Friday at the Quality Inn. It'll be fairly obvious where we are in the hotel, but you can always ask the front desk too. :) Don't miss the registration, that's where registered attendee's can pick up their goody bag of stuff, and included in goody bag are raffle tickets for ALOT of free stuff on Saturday night, so don't lose 'em!!! No ticket, no winning!
- We'll also be selling 50/50 tickets Friday night and Saturday during the day. What's a 50/50? Buy a ticket, $1/ea, Saturday night, at the banquet, we'll draw a ticket and he who has matching stub walks away with 50% of the total pot. Other 50% goes to support MercuryMarauder.net.
That is all...See ya Friday!!!
