 I am wondering. I've heard of people going well over 100 K on the original plugs in recent years on many autos but I was curious how often do members change them on their Marauders? I will hit 100 K this weekend and the Black Beauty runs like a top. About 80 % of my driving has been on turnpikes and interstates with the other 20 % in the city. I do not drag race this car. I asked my mechanic about this. He is excellent and even fixed the air conditioner "o" ring problem for me from the website illustrations. He suggested to me the plugs will be as clean now as when they went in. He suggested I may not have to change yet but 100 K seems like a milestone. My prior car was a 2000 Grand Marquis and when I had him change the original plugs at 100 K they looked new. Would appreciate members thoughts and I prefer to have my mechanic use original plugs. Can anyone fill me in on what the originals are? I feel good about the originals since the car really runs great and has terrfic pickup. (The Magnaflows don't hurt the better acceleration either).

I change mine once a year, needed or not. Plugs are cheap and it takes about 45 minutes to do.

As do I.

Bear in mind, I only put about 7k on the car in a season...but it's mostly 'beat it to death' milage. :P

I would re-place them every 50K. Book says 75K. For the price why push it?

I still do mine once a year... 8 to 10K miles a year.

If the car is not supercharged or anything crazy like that, the plugs at 50k miles will still be fine, visually inspect and check the gap if it makes you feel better, but otherwise throwing out plugs that are clean and have not eroded the gap open is a waste of plugs. It's not the $$$, I just don't believe in throwing out good parts just for the sake of it
