Hi people. Anybody had any issues with their headlights? My headlights would just turn off while driving. Other times the headlights wont come on then after a bit the lights do come on. I'm not using the auto feature, it shuts off with that too. Tonight the headlights worked. Then I turned the switch to park lamps, the headlights stayed on. Other times headlights work properly. When the headlights don't work, both high and low beam don't work but the flash to pass option does. Is there a module that controls the headlights, and could that be at fault?

yes LCM, lighting control module is the headlight switch assembly.
There is a self fix thread if you are handy, or want to try to repair it yourself.

Hi, didn't find info on this forum but found info on another forum. They suggested to replace the headlight relay in the Light Control Module with a heavy duty relay and showed pics on how to do it. Thanks anyways.

Sorry fastblackmerc. I didn't search LCM. I did some other search with headlights and came up empty. I searched the other forums with headlight issues and found the info on the CV site. I was frantic at the time. Didn't like my headlights goin out. I bought an external relay to hook up to the LCM. I will install it tomorrow. I hope it solves the problem.

I had this very recently. It's a bad relay on the LCM. Have dealer replace the LCM or replace the relay yourself if you are electronically handy and don't have an ESP.
