View Full Version : Battery went south....
The battery lasted 52 months, but with the frost last night, gave up the ghost today. Jason changed it out in about five minutes. Bought the new one from Ford, 750 CCA it's the current replacement item, for $89.00
and my old battery.

I had the well known Blower Control Sensor (Sensor the controls blower fan speed for heat and a/c) go out on me last week, just in time for the first cold day when I actually needed heat. had to bring it in though, dam thing is behind the passenger side valve cover. Tough spot.
Here's to winter!!!!!!!!!

Old thread I know but just noticed the red light on the battery now (though the car started fine). Its the original battery (66 months I think) but must admit Im paranoid now. Does that red light mean anything or is it just a gimmick?

Not sure how reliable the red from green sight glass really is on the battery?
But would plan on a new one soon just due to age.
Mine is just over 5 years of age now and going strong.
Keep in mind, there was age on the battery prior to it being installed in the car during assembly. (God only knows how long that was?)
Mike.
