I BOUGHT 2 CYBERDYNE DIGITAL GAUGES, WITH NIGHT DIMMING.
BLACK BASE WITH BLUE LED #'S SOUNDED PRETTY GOOD.
REMOVED STOCK GAUGES, AND INSTALLED NEW 1'S. ONLY THING THE NIGHT DIMING WORKED IF YOU WERE DRIVING AND THE SENSOR KICKED IN TO TURN HEAD LIGHTS ON, BUT IF YOU STARTED CAR AT NIGHT THE GAUGES WOULD FLASH. HAD TO CYCLE LIGHTS OFF THEN ON FOR THEM TO WORK. FOUND OUT FROM COMPANY THT EITHER I CYCLE SW, OR INSTALL TOGGLE SW, OR JUST NOT CONNECT NIGHT DIMING, AND PUT TINT ON TO CALM IT DOWN. I LIKE THE GAUGES SO I DID A SEARCH AND FOUND FAIRFAX ELECTRONICS IN CALIFORNIA. PURCHASED THE ELK-960 TIMER DELAY. 21.00 + SHIPPING. IT SITS IN BACK OF PLASTIC WHERE STOCK GAUGES MOUNT, EVEN GIVE YOU STICKY TAPE. WIRED WITH A 20 SEC DELAY PLACED BLACK TAPE OVER SENSOR AND 20 SEC'S LATER DIMING KICKED IN. TONIGHT I PRESSED DOOR UNLOCK GOT IN THE CAR WITH LIGHTS ON ALREADY STARTED CAR ,AND THE GAUGES BEGIN TO FLASH :mad2:THEN 20 SEC'S NO FLASHING, BRIGHT THEN DIM. BTW THEY DO SIT NICE IF YU LIKE DIGITAL.

Go figure!! when i first wired it up I used a switchable 12dc. and 12vdc for the trigger from clock night dim line. the results were as i mentioned . When i read the instructions again it said to use a constant 12vdc to power the circuirt, and let the board go through a duty cycle, and then connect everything. Did it that way and nothing, gauge just kept blinking mmmmm.. ahh the joy of not reading all the instructions, I would have canned it if i did it following the instructions. I dunt think you can use 12vdc for trigger, circuirt gets alittle confused :confused:seeing 2 12dc inputs. but since i used a switchable 12dc for power, and the board had to run a duty cycle which is bout 14 sec, so me guess is FM!! ;) it only blinks 13sec if you press key farb at night and start car while lights are still on. if you start car at night with lights off, lights come on and gauge powers up. proberly they sel another brand with night diming that doesn't do this? i need to sleep for awhile i think lol
