Important Road Trip Update Re Red Roof Inn/west Memphis.

The Invasion has stepped off, and already we have our first logistical snafu.

I just spoke with BigDogJim who departed for Marauderville this AM. BigDog says that the Red Roof Inn in West Memphis is NOT a favorable overnight stop. BigDog is working out an alternative stop through his connections in the trucking industry, maybe a Fairfield/Embassy setup 20 miles down the road.

I will keep y'all posted ASAP.

Thx Sarge we're not leaving the Motor City till Thursday morning there well be 7 MM leaving together and I'll have my MDT with me at all times with internet capability so keep us posted!

I've always stayed in the nicer hotels over by the mall on the south side of town. There's one right next door to the mall. Sorry just can't remember the name of the place!

I'm sorry about this delay, but I had two problems that both burned time on the clock. One was getting through to BigDogJim (all circuts busy), and two was getting Mapquest to heel.

Finally, I have overcome both obstacles, we're running full speed for the gate now.

The "burp" that prompted this thread isn't going to change, so, it was necessary to change our road travel plans. Step one was to find accomodations that could/would be accessible to us. Step two, was finding that enroute to Marauderville. Thanks to BigDog, both issues have been addressed. Hey, you MI drivers, listen up?

On 17 Sep. '03, Zack, Marc[N4OGL] and I will disembark from the Chicago region, headed to our first overnnight stop, Southaven, MS. Look here:
