Hi guys, I currently own a 2003 cobra and am thinking of trading it in for a marauder. Some say I am crazy but I have a 2 month old baby now and think that this would be a smart move. Practicaly and financialy. Anyway, I need some advice from everyone here on how to go about this. I know that there are some sweeet deals out there on these cars and would like some help on finding the right people to deal with. I am from NJ and would be willing to travel for the right price. There is a new red 04 at my local dealer but somehow I dont think they will go down as much as on the 03 blacks. I would love a blue but am aware of the fact that they are impossible to find. So here is my real question.....how low are dealers willing to go on the black 03's to move them?? And if you guys could point me to them, I would greatly appreciate it.
Its going to be tough parting with my cobra but I think its for the best. Thanks alot for your help.

The New York region has 49 '03 MMs in stock, exactly where I can't say. Keep in mind too, that the cheaper the MM gets for you, the less you may expect in trade in value. May be better for you to shop for an '04.

I bought my 03 black MM at New London Motors in CT. I was really happy with my price (29K) but have heard of guys north of NYC getting better deals. Anyway I think New London Motors still has a NEW 03 Black MM, and rumor has it it is a 300A (my buddy who saw it says it has not TC button)
Also, I went with the MM over the cobra because I have a 6 year old and my new wife has an 8 year old. It is as fun to drive as a 'stang (in my opinion:) ). I put an overhead DVD LCD screen and a DVD player, drove with both of them cross country with no whining!!
good luck to you

03 cobras are running thru the auctions here in florida at $26,000 with miles in the low, low teen - even some below 10k in miles. convertables are going thru at $29,900. they currently have $3,000 rebate and dealers are asking $30,000 for new hardtops. if your's is a hardtop and has no paint work with low miles, you might be able to swap even for a 03. 04s will probably cost you $4,000 and your car.

I bought an 03 Ford exec demo last month for 23K. Great car (black of course). There are some dealers down this way with Blue 03s. If you want me to check around, let me know.

My 13 year old son calls our MM "The family man's Stang".
At first he did not like the way that it looked, "Grandpaw's style car". All it took was one trip to the track, his first trip to school in the MM and a couple of wash jobs, "I really like it Dad, can't wait till I can drive". When my son was baby I had a 79 Stang with the 302 and loved it untill I put him in the back seat for the 5th time. I do not think that you will be sorry if you get a MM, in a perfect world you could have both. But my world is not perfect. Enjoy.
