How about the eibach pro kit Part Number 3596.120, anyone ever use this kit, any comments?

I have the Eibach ProKit 3596.120 springs installed on the front now...It has a much more aggressive stance in my opinion and it feels very tight around corners. I had the front realigned per car fixers specs (on another thread somewheres) and the springs, install and realignment set me back about 3 bills...My car has 122K miles on it and with the lower and tighter springs it is a bit bouncy but I havent laid out the cash for new struts/shocks yet...I have been looking at either going with the KYB gas adjusts or laying out the big bucks on the eibachs...any suggestions would be appreciated here...

They lower the car a good bit, but the ride quality suffers.

Cut a full coil from the front, lower the rear a hair, and call it a day. The stance will be lower, and the handeling dramatically improved.

i'm interested in these eibachs as well. just wondering why cutting the coil instead of the eibach coils give you better ride quality? is it because the old ones are warn in?

they are just big babies :P I like mine just fine. I liken it to people who claim you can't drive the car in the snow on stock tires...

the eibachs are a stiffer spring, thats why. They are made to eliminate roll and maximize handling, stock springs are made to give good ride comfort.

Eibachs will make your brain hurt on bumpy roads.

...or wavy roads.

Rides like a truck. I hate them. As does everyone that has been in my car.

Cut the stockers.

All of the above is opinion.

Here is mine...

I've had them in since September, got a carfixer alignment, and with the Eibachs, got brand new KYB Gas-a-just shocks.

The new lowered look is awesome, the ride is awesome, the cornering feels 'different', not necessarily an improvement over stock, but different. No bouncing at all.

I am working with a local speed shop that works a lot on modulars in mustangs and my marauder is now a regular there. I've had it dyno tuned there and they also installed the rebuilt rear end. Since the car is lowered on the higher spring rate Eibachs and it has 125K on the original shocks, it definitely has a bounce issue. We are looking into two options...going with the KYB gas adjusts (not manually adjustable) or manually adjustable shocks. I am hoping for the the manually adjustable solution as I want to be able to recalibrate the car depending on the situation. If anyone else has gone this route, please post up.

Thanks

no one has manually adjustable shocks available for the MM (other than a universal fit Rancho truck shock) so I ordered the KYB gas-adjusts. I'll have the same set up as mpearce...I got them for $173 (for the pair) by going through replacementshocks.com which directed me to autopartswarehouse and gave me a 10% discount code...

I cut one coil out of the front and did not notice a decrease in ride quality. Glad I did not spend the money on the Eibach springs so I could spend it elsewhere. I guess it just depends on personal preference, I would say cut them.

I went with the Eibachs so I had the stock springs to fall back on if I didn't like the feel....older doesnt always= wiser. I'll know in a couple days if the KYB's solve the issue

You should be good to go with the KYBs. They work great with the Eibachs.

Make sure you adjust the rear ride height to your liking after the Eibach's go in. Once you're done there...get a freakin' MM based alignment (to Carfixer's specs) immediately...then you'll be super happy.

Thanks for the feedback. The KYB's just arrived and will be installed this week. I had the Carfixer alignment done after the Eibachs went in about 15K miles ago and still no appreciable wear on the front tires.

I may lower the rear end just a tad after this. Are you saying the front alignment will need readjusting after lowering the back also?

The new KYB shocks are a HUGE immprovement and now I am satisfied with the Eibach set up. One small problem is that with the lowered suspension the camber could not be fully adjusted. It's maxed out at .9 degrees so I will prolly wear the inner tire a bit. Just put new BFG KDWS on the front and it feels nimble, tight and rides quiet up there again!

Yup, same situation here. The alignment guys got it as close as they could and so far I have not noticed any unusual wear, though I suspect I will over time.
Still, I couldn't keep tires on this car as it was anyway, so situation normal there I think. Glad you're pleased with the Eibach / KYB combination.

Glad to hear it all worked out for you. Congrats for actually following through with a mod from start to finish to get it right.
