I would imagine the dial would be to adjust the IAT, the wires under the clamp I don't recommend, as they will eventually wear through and short out.

It belongs to Eric as reported by offroadkarter. We met earlier this month at the NTM Centerville GTG.

He is a very personable gentleman.

It's an electric fan, marketed by a certain company, SCMT 1725. The dial in the picture is a controller for fan speed.

Eric is a member here, maybe a PM to him will reveal the whole story.

It belongs to Eric as reported by offroadkarter. We met earlier this month at the NTM Centerville GTG.

He is a very personable gentleman and his car is fast. There is a story behind it and I'll relate it as best as memory serves.

He was in the dealership in San Antonio looking to buy a new car but none quite suited his requirments and in the course of looking over the inventory he spotted this DTR parked in the back all by itself. He inquired and the salesman told him that it was a special car, modified for a police department somewhere on the east coast but for one reason or another the car was not sold.

There are extensive mods to the car put on by the dealer and subcontractors. The exhaust is upgraded and of course the device you see in the above picture.

It's an electric fan, marketed by a certain company, B&B performance electric supecharger system, and it's always on I believe. The dial in the picture is a controller for additional fuel (not IAT).

When going into WOT or passing gear(?) extra fuel is commanded in response to the small "boost, 1.3 lbs" the fan gives.

He has run against stock Marauders and claims it blows their doors off (my words).

Eric is a member here, maybe a PM to him will reveal the whole story.

Regards,

He dont post here or visit anymore, i heard he got chased off or something?

I also heard that he bought his car as a normal DTR, and just threw on the black grille, the wal mart fogs inside the grille, and the PI rear trunk deck (whacker) and said it was a marauder modified for police use.

Didn't someone else also spew the same crap, and also left the forum?

And everyone knows that hair dryer fans do not give performance gains. Thats what separates us from honda owners

Carry on

I must apologize for my orginal post in this thread. I thought that's what I was told. Aparently my "Olde Tymers" anomally has reared it's head.

Anyway, I edited my post to reflect new information I received this morning.

I also apologize to Eric for posting inaccurate information I must have put my "interpretation" on aspects of this equipment in our discussion at Centerville.

I'm a little embarassed, thought I was being helpful.
