i just took the bullitts off. normally i would run a full wheelcover in the winter, but i think this is better. even if i end up hating it, it will be easy enough to switch to all black. for now:

yeah, i did it today.
i think i'm gonna do the timing chain guides/tensioner at his house, just have the car pulled halfway into the garage, lower the garage door as far as it will go (with a blanket on the car of course), and insulate the **** out of the garage.
after all, he has all the tools necessary to do this repair.

say something when you are ready, did you work today? we're going to do the repair at my dad's but if you wanna come watch us and laugh hysterically at how BADLY we fail, you're more than welcome.
no, i didn't work today...
Now for steelies, those rims look awesome! You paint the silver bands yourself? thanks! i did all the painting myself. hit the whole surface lightly with a green scrubbie thing (you know, the thing that you can scrub pots with) to get the rust off. then i primed it with rustoleum brown primer, whatever stuff was supposedly the most "heavy duty".
after that, i looked at my collection of rattlecans and found black rustoleum gloss and "chrome" rustoleum. both were applied accordingly...i did the silver first, then the black.
all told, i think i have 4 man hours into the project including a beer run.
Where's the snow? melted! we had about 6" in my general neighborhood. 10 miles south of me, there is still a foot of snow on the ground.
