I've got the MM parked for the winter. I put it into hibernation about six weeks ago. I got to thinking, I've not done anything to it for winter storage.

I want to do the following....

-bottle of gas line antifreeze to absorb any condensation that might be in the tank.

-Sta-bil in the gas to keep it from going stale.

Is there anything else I should be doing? What about the air suspension? Should I do anything with it. There's a switch in the trunk to turn it off. Should I shut it off? Should I leave it on?

I'd like to hear what you guys have to say!

Put the car on jackstands, turn the air suspension off

leave the windows cracked just a slight bit

You'll need to make sure these adds are mixed well in the tank and the fuel has run throughout the engine as well.

Fresh oil for storage.

I merely park on small slabs of plywood that have been glued to the floor.
I have have an old barn with a bad floor.

I cover it with a California cover and throw shipping blackets over the flat spots.

I use a Sears brand automatic battery tender.

In addition to the above:

Throw some moth balls on the floor and also a few Bounce dryer sheets.

Put some rags in the tailpipes.

I personally do not put the car on jackstands, the suspension is then fully extended, which I have heard is not good. I would rather the suspension be compressed, with all four wheels on the ground. Just a different matter of opinion.

you also dont want your tires getting flat spotted from sitting in one place for to long

I forgot to perform those steps. Good call.

Last year I also cut up bars of Irish Spring soap and placed them (on paper) throughout the engine compartment.

I has mice chew through the harness' (while building a home) on my Focus last summer.

Thanks. That's all really good info. I keep forgetting about the air suspension; I'll shut that off. I never thought about rags in the tailpipes or the soap.... that's smart. I'll get on this stuff right away

I have it from a good source that mice hate the smell of Irish Spring soap which smells a lot better than moth balls come spring.

I parked my car outside last winter, fresh fluids in it, and started it once a week and let it get up to temp. My brand new battery still froze one day when I went out to start it :( I luckily got a new one under warranty! I won't be doing that anymore :)

This year I put the car inside with fresh oil/fluids, took the battery out and inflated the tires to max psi listed on the sidewall, and covered it with a nice Covercraft cover.
I would have liked to put some cheap tires/rims on it, but didn't have the money for them due to other bills that came up, so hopefully I have no issues. I did the same with my old Mark VII and didn't have any problems then. The factory rims don't fit anymore due to the bigger brakes.
