Alrighty all... Question... The wife drives her DTR almost 100 miles round trip a day. She is starting to get alot pf chips and bug crap etching into the paint. I keep her car washed and waxed as much as possible but its getting to where there are visible marks on the front bumper. I have seen the leather bra type deals on Marauders before and other cars but have heard that they cause more damage than they are worth to the paint. My question is should I get a BRA for my wifes DTR to protect the paint or let her bumper flop in the wind and then eventually get it repainted?
Thanks for the input...

This is the bad thing about painted bumpers, sooner or later they will need repainted. The bra thing is a matter of personal preference, I generally don't like the look of a bra, so I would repaint when necessary. Just remember, before repainting, sand as much off as you can of the old material, you don't won't a build up of paint.

just let it go tell it needs paint work bras arent worth it thell damage the header panel and atleats the fenders to. It ant worth it and once the chips are there you cant buff that out its gone thru the paint. If you are going to Buckwheats x-mas party let me look at it then. I can do a side job on it for you hack instead of running thru my shop it will save you some$$$

The ones made for the marauder ( i guess ford made it, dont know) are good quaility. They dont leave rub marks on the fenders, and its a very fluffy felty material on the inside. PRCARGUY has one on his SB to hide his bumper, and when you take the bra off you'd never know it was on in the first place.
One thing, do not use it in the rain, just a no no.

Thanks for the input guys. Todd I'll be sure to hook up with you soon. The wife hates the look of the bumper but refuses to stop driving the car.
Where would I find this clear film that would help protect the bumper?
