Im thinking of keeping my snow tires on year round. I put them on today on the CV 16 inch steelies. What a smooth ride! ALMOST like driving a Town Car.

Go easy on me guys.......:D

You know, I'm putting mine on tomorrow, though it RARELY gets driven in the snow anymore. But I kind of enjoy the "cop car" look for a few months, plus it saves some tread on the Mag wheel set up...especially the rears... :)

Even the first year i owned her and drove daily i refused to put snow tires on. Now its only a third car for the familly so unless we have a break down on another she shall sleep off and on throughout the winter.

You can have 'em, I agree on smooth, but they are numb on handling.
We are supposed to get snow monday, so I may put mine on later today.

I agree with you guys. I could NEVER tolerate seeing them on there year round. I guess the smooth ride got to my head for a couple minutes. Our rims make our cars in my opinion. I put my 2007 Grand Marquis steelies with the Grand Marquis chrome hubcaps. I have to say Im slightly impressed! Im going to take pics this week and I'll post them here so you guys can see.

Motorhead, I believe with tax for 4 snow tires I paid $330.00. A friend of mine mounted and balanced them on the Grand Marquis rims for free.

I have brand new OEM tires on mine now. Ordered them Sept 07, got them Nov 07...put them on this Nov. I have snows but they are hard as rocks and scary as hell in the rain. Since my dealership got shut down by Ford I don't have the money to replace the snows this winter. :mad2:

My MM doesnt see the snow unless it NEEDS to, as in, I have to somewhere outside the normal routine and the wife needs the truck and I didnt take the blazer into town.

Last year the most snow the MM saw was going around the block on fresh unsalted inch or two, just so I could play japanese drifter and a couple of corners.

Put mine on last week. P71 steelies with Pirelli Scorpiions. Smoother and quieter. Little grip in the corners and no hook up, though. Gotta have them in case I get caught at work by snow, though.
