Hey guys,

So heres the story, I went and had my exhaust doen the other day and before they but it on the lift I switched the air ride switch in the trunk to off. After the install was finished I turned it back on and.............no compressor at all. So yesterday I figured I would see if it was the relay. I checked under the hood and moved the 2 relays around-they were identically numbered so I figured this would not hurt anything. Sure enough when I turned the key the compressor kicked in, for a moment I felt Success. Well it was short lived when I went to crank the car it would not start. All the dash lights come on like they are suposed to. My battery is fully charged, I never touched the starter relay-so that should not be the problem. I did notice that the Anti-Theft light stays lit up when I turn the key to start. To me this sounds like a problem. Any ideas????????:help:

swap the 2 relays back again and see if it starts, if so then replace bad relay.

or,

most of the time with any anti-theft system the key is dirty or is not reading the chip in the key, or the wires in the lock cylinder are broke thus not reading the chip in the key

I tried swapping the 2 relays back, which in my head sounded like the perfect fix, all that I was planning on was buying a new relay-- no go ;( Ive been at work all weekend so monday morning Ill be tearing into her. The only other thing I did was test the fuses under the dash with a test light, maybe I blew one????

THe little flashing red light for the pats system stays lit up red when I turn the key to the run position.

Just for giggles did you try disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes or try a different key? Maybe a stretch but best i could do. Good luck.

Thanks Justbob,

I appreciate the input, but yes unfortunatly I disconnected the terminals thinking that maybe it would reset the PATS system, no such luck. I only have one key, will have another made this week.

Is the P.A.T.S. light flashing or staying on solid? When it's working properly when you put the key in and turn ignition on it will go solid before going out altogether. If it's the problem the light will flash rapidly when igntion is turned on.

Good news everyone!!

Got the car started today, after 3 days of tearing it apart :) , Turns out it was a fuse to the trans. Somehow tied into the nuetral safety switch, tricking the car into thinking it was in gear upon key turn.

Its all fixed!!!!!!!!

Thank you all for your Help!!
