Boy... talk about takin' it down to the wire!!
My car's just getting it's headers installed tonight, exhaust fabbed and welded up tomorrow and then tomorrow afternoon/evening, I'll be installing craploads of pimpin' stereo gear...
Looking forward to hearing the exhaust. Should be a sweet note. Kook's headers into hi-flow cats, into a Kooks X pipe, into Magnaflow 14" stainless mufflers, out to the tips... 2.5" pipe all the way through...
Unfortunately ran out of time, won't have my eibach's on by Friday... Sigh...
...and I still have runnin' around to do for FFW yet... weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Lemme know if you (or the installer) run into any issues with the headers. Good luck on all your plans... hope you make it in time!

Headers will go in cleanly. We're documenting the install and will be posting it up shortly, along with pre/post dyno runs...

You're the best... LaRocca's can't fit my car in until late October, so I think I'm going to tackle the install myself... I'll definately be needing that documentation!

From what we went through last night to get them in, you might may rethink that... :)
Full review comin' up!
What kind of gains do you expect from the new exhaust? Also, will those gains be available with the exhaust only, or just if you add on the exhaust along with other mods? I've heard different opinions about whether a better exhaust system could help by itself, or only if other things done to the engine made the new exhaust beneficial.

I was considering redoing the exhaust system and was told that it will give me about 25 hp more on top of my 450 hp. But the cost per hp was not worth it.
Is it the looks that add onto the extra hp that make the difference?
What am I missing?

John, I agree that with your 450 HP package, an additional 25 HP might not be worth the cost. I'm still NA, and just looking for things to help me get closer to 300 RWHP without breaking the bank.

The thing about headers, and other power adders,is sometimes it's not the "peak"HP or torque increase thats important.
It's what's called "area under the curve" sometimes a part may only show a 5-10hp increase at peak, but boost the area under the curve by 15-20hp.Headers are one mod that freqently does this.
Remember you spend more time below peak HP every day than you do at redline.
Good Point. That's the kind of info I need.
