Well i did what i said the previous owner of my Marauder was the stupid for doing.......
I bought my car in April 20, 2007. I walked into the dealer and said i wanted that Marauder. I didnt care about how much, I wanted it. i bought it for $17,990 with 35k miles on it.....
I placed roughly 21k miles on it and had the best and worst time of my life with it. We got our first ticket together, Officer said he heard the car before he saw her speeding. :D
We went through a set of rear tires and plenty of good smiles. Lots of races and lots of "lurking"
I put a new heart in her when she blew up..... and didnt complain once about it.
But after compiling lots of medical bills, i couldnt justify keeping a Marauder that was a lot of hassle for me but still loads of fun.
I traded it in today for an 06 Fusion, to get myself out of debt and be happy...... although it went out in a cloud of sweet KDW2 smoke and a few tears, its just a car.... a very fun and adored car.

Well heres to doing the wise thing. Maybe when your debt is down you can snatch up another one. At least you did the right thing instead of just not paying the bills. :bigcry: I'm sure you will miss it and hopefully the new owner will like it as much as you did.
The Fusions don't look bad either. Hope its black and tint the windows.
Don't be a stranger.

just too bad the dumb-A$$s at Ford won't build you a V-6 with a 5-speed. It would have about the same power to weight ratio of a Marauder.

I can guarantee he will be back in a Marauder eventually.
Adam, we sent the car out right.
A little more of this story..
The ride to the dealership...We managed to meet up with, and kill, an ls2 linginfelter gto. After killing him twice from 60, he yelled NICE! and let us on our way.
The big cloud of smoke....
That was my final drive of Mo-Baby as she was known. Stopped at a light...(i'd never burned 'em in the 'rauder)...let 'er rim...damn. I'm glad I never knew how easy those kdw2's smoked up...
It was a fun ride.
I can promise, one of us will own a Marauder. Shoot...I lurk this forum, and the I've never owned one.
Unfortunately, Adam and I both knew we will miss the marauder, but not this one. This one had some issues, that hopefully the dealer will find and fix. I'll let Adam go in to detail if he wishes.
I'll admit, we were both a little teary eye'd knowing she'd be gone. As I took that last rip down the straightaway before the dealership...we rocked out to a perfect song...
talk about meant to be...
as we turned to go back to the dealership in the Fusion...the same rockin song came on....Adam and I knew....time to pull the trigger.
but the memories of the car will last longer than that replacement motor ever will. We'll miss it, but I KNOW we'll still visit here just as often, still plan meets, and still hang out at cookouts and car shows.

Yes the GTO gave up twice.... when i pulled as hard as she has ever pulled, i was fender to fender with him.... i guess the 120 fly by let him know i was fast.
i figured he was just toying with me because i have been DEMOLISHED from 30 before by my best friends LS2 GTO.
we the noticed the Lignefelter badge on the front fender and tried him again.... again he was even with us till 120 and let off. good thing, my limiter would catch me lol.
it was hard seeing him wave NICE to us and take off again.... its that feeling ill miss. the feeling that my "Grand Marquis is fast as hell!" "what do you have in that thing!?!" andusing the simple respinse of, "its a Marauder." :p
i wont go into full detail on my cars history but i will say it was a lemon. i rushed into buying it and after the carfax came back clean i bought. OASIS was dirtier than a 5 yr old and a mudpit. and after finding out the replacement motor was not really a suitable swap, it had to go.

Life must go one sounds like you did the right thing! cars are cars just that you get the craving down the road get another. I lost my 1st one a #7 KB-S to a $^&*^%^& on the highway and after that it was 3-yrs before I got another. Youre health is the most important. material things are just that material...

Sorry man, i get the choked up when I let a car go. The ones that give ya the problems are the hardest to let go. Later down the road if ya feel the need to get one find a nice one and get back into the seat. Good luck man!!!
