Yup he finally did it. Track was good. He started the day out with a 11.09 then 11.06 a few 11.01's and 11.02's and then the last run of the day busted the 10.997 at 123.25mph with a 6.99 8th. The best 60' was a 1.50:eek:, gotta love the 2 step and hoosiers. The slip is in the timeslip database.

And a big thanks to John Kuhn for the pat on the back and the 2 step and trilogy for "the little eaton that could"!

Oh yeah and lets not forget Doom (soon in the 11's) and Impala Slayer for the support and to keep us goin for that 10.;)

Awesome numbers indeed!

It's just too bad all of us cannot race in 40 degree weather to get lower than normal times.

Impressive none the less.

No hating...just envy.;)

I ran 11.6 without funny tires and on an 87 degree day, and over 100 on the track.

I can only only imagine what I could run with slicks, mini's, and winter cold weather.

Our tracks in Ohio close after Halloween.
You guys race up until Christmas.

Congrats to Sherm and his pit crew. :2thumbs:

.... and to the CAM gang of cheerleaders :cheer: for edging him on to get that 10 in the books.

Barry you may be right ... as I recall you posted your best N/A time in CAMLand at Mason-Dixon in October 2004 with those "cool" temps.

May be right?

I ran nearly 13 flat on street tires with no induction and a stock motor in October in Hagerstown. It was like 49 that night at best.

These guys are racing with snow on the ground.

Congratulations on a new Marauder milestone. Chris has proven that the base Trilogy (Eaton Blower), with modifications, can propel our 2 –Ton beast into the 10 Second zone. This was exciting news for me because I have seen first hand what Chris can do with a Marauder. He doesn’t have a designer name or a fancy shop, but he understands how to make these cars fast on a budget. Within two years he was able to do what few have accomplished for less. He also has one of the fastest T-birds.

2 step was set at 2200 but 2k usually yeilds a better 60', prolly cause the car goes up more than forward.

Zack
12-09-2008, 09:24 AM
Just curious, why would you set the 2 step at 2200 and not 4200?

DTRMiguel
12-09-2008, 10:41 AM
Holy **** 4200? I would figure that would be to high but i guess if u have DR's or slicks u wont :burnout:

Converter isn't that big. Only a 3k stall. And I'm not sure how high we can take it without pushing thru the front tires.

You need a transbrake to really take advantage of a loose converter and a 2-step.

Its an electronic device that when activated keeps the motor from revving above the set rpm. Then when you deactivate lets the engine rev to normal so you can hold your engine rpms at a certain point on the start line.

A 2step when used properly will make your radio pop out
