This may not even be a real problem - sorry for starting a new thread if it's a normal thing (I just got my Marauder a few weeks ago).

Sometimes right when I start up the car, or if it's been idling for a while, there's a strange noise that comes from the left front (when idling in Park). I don't know how to describe it, except that it sounds like a pump or fan that's out of balance, then it goes away after about 30 seconds. It's probably nothing, but it is kind of loud and doesn't sound "right".

No, really...I do resemble it. :)

MJOR, no worries...it's the air suspension compressor. It's normal. You may also hear a kinda "Darth Vader breathing" sound from the same area after you shut the car off, especially if you've had more than one person in it. That's the air suspension letting off a little pressure. It's also normal.

I like to pretend it's the mini-gun spooling up before I go out hunting.

Thats not the compressor bleeding off pressure! The car is just a heavy breather! Atleast i have my kids convinced:D

Funny, I just get a big sigh of relief from mine, especially when the fat guys get out. ;)
