Please join me in welcoming Kook's Custom Headers as a supporting vendor to the site!! Stay tuned for Mercurymarauder.net's own review and detailed installation notes on the Kook's Mid-length header/X Pipe solution!!

Kook's has been building super high quality race headers since 1962. The last 15 of those years has been spent largely on catering to the Ford crowd, particularly to the Fox and SN95 chassis.

Kook's manufactures over 125 different part numbers for those platforms and currently is used on all the quickest and fastest N.M.R.A./ Fun Ford class race cars. At least 8 of the top 10 race cars in the majority of their respective classes run Kook's Headers.

Kook's has also taken on the 2V T-Bird and 4V Mark VIII markets. Recent dyno testing on a Mark VIII after our mid-length header install showed a 30 Hp gain and torque gains between 15 and 26 ft lbs.according to the graph.

Kook's is more than aware of the low end torque necessary on a car like the Marauder. When designing these headers they made torque the first priority. Standard primary tube size is 1-5/8 with a 2-1/2" collector. Combine that with their universal 2-1/2" X-Crossover and you're in for a thrill. 1-3/4 with 3" collectors are also available for those with superchargers, NO2 or heavily modded NA cars.

Another major consideration that went into the design was to make room for Cats after the header install as they felt most will want their Marauders emissions legal![/i]

Wlecome Kook's! I had told Nick about the site and asked him to check it out. For some reason, I didn't think he took me seriously. Nice to see them as a sponsor. I'd like to thank them for the gorgeous headers, too! They're sitting in my garage waiting to go on. It's driving me insane!!!
