Does anyone have this? I have been thinking about getting one my car for x-mas, is it worth the money?

Love it-sometimes you just want a little all Elvis, all the time. I hear Dom loves the new AC/DC channel too!:D

It was cool a year ago. I might end my subsrciption and just search for new listening material at record stores like I have been doing for the past few months.

My radio doesn't wanna work too well anymore either. Taking away Doo Wop, plugging AC/DC to remove Punk Rock and now the oldies channel is pretty much now 50s music... by that I mean it's no longer 90% Rock N' Roll. Cousin Bruce plays a lotta late 60s music and some 70s stuff when he's on channel 5! The 50's channel!!! I'm sure it's beyond his control, but it sickens me.

I got Sirius to get back my oldies music and check out a few other things and everyting I liked was taken away. :mad2:

Try it out first, your music taste might be different then mine.

I have it and like it. I hope that Sirius starts to carry the baseball channels that XM always had.

Statement of the year award.

i have an old Sirius box, one of the first ones. It came in my MM and the drsler never noticed it. It is one of the boxes Sirius cannot shut off, so i have free satelitte radio for life:D

i love it. i used ot listen to the comedy channels for a good laugh on the way home from work, and everything that is on the radio now, was on Sirius 3-4 months previous. that way, you never over hear a song really. and you always seem to be ahead of the trend:lol:

I've had Sirius for a couple years now and love it!

Some changes with the XM merger, but all in all still a good deal IMO. Love the NFL channels, get to listen to the Packer games every week, hoping they offer the Big Ten games next fall as an upgrade.

It is all I listen to in the car... and when I get to work, I enter my name and password to the online site and can listen to it at work on my computer... It is the BEST!!!!

The only problem I have with satellite radio is the quality. It is heavily compressed digital audio and the compression artifacts are very obtrusive to someone like me who appreciates audio. If you just "listen to the radio" and don't have an ear for good audio you probably won't care, but I personally can't stand listening to really lossy audio.

I love mine...going on year 3 with mine....and with the XM merger you can add the best of XM for a small fee...and some of the XM stations have already been intergrated into the Sirius lineup.

Just becareful with your subscription plan you select. Sirius might not survive much longer, they have a large amount of outstanding debt and literally no assets to offset it with. They have paid Howard Stern in shares of stock and he has basically sold it all off (its trading at .17 cents currently). I believe they owe Howard a large Bonus after this year that I do not think they will make.

It never caught on with the masses, the start up costs were insane, and the revenue has been weak with strong debt.

Bottom line - go for a lower end subscription, month to month or a few motnhs at a time. I would not do a lifetime or yearly subscription.

Just my .02 cents

The merger is complete and Sirius/XM is now on the air. As an XM customer for over four years there have been some changes to stations and air personalities, but overall I think I will stay. When you have a long drive and have options its great.

So you must have a vinyl collection hua? ;)

Eric I agree with you. Keep it a short term agreement if you choose to subscribe.

Dom,

Don't worry about it. If Sirius XM goes belly up, we can just squawk a little bit and Nancy Pelosi will cut a bailout deal...
