Like I said, Dial Up Warning. There are nine pictures.

Taking the air tube apart

Un-doing the bolts that hold on the air box. Due to rust, they broke off quite easily. Oh well, I can do the work to fix it.

Lookin good so far...

VOILA! Well it looks better, but can it perform?

It can in the mid-high RPMs, but my off-the-line suffered a bit. Not much, I can't peel out like I used to though...but the mid range power that has been improved puts a smile on my face. I'm still testing it.

As far as that new ROAR under the hood, I didn't notice it much. Maybe it is because I cut my mufflers off a few months ago and replaced it with a straight pipe? Yeah, I think so too. My Borla Cat-Back should be on its way over here anyways. I can hardly wait for that. Anyways,

The kit was well packaged and well put together, everything looks professionally built and the parts fit fine.

The air tube is in the process of being powder coated, that is why it isn't here yet...

Looks sharp!

I see sheilding on one side, does it still suck in hot air from under the hood vs fresh air via the fender well?

It still gets hot air in :( I wonder if cutting that fender well will make a difference though...

Looking closer at the photo with the hood closed it looks like it can only suck hot air from the drivers side, maybe another nice peace of fabricated sheet metal or modify the oem box on the drivers side and you will be getting cold air!

If you can get the cold air with the reduced restriction your bottom end response may improve in addition to the mid-high end improvement you have now.

hmmm...I'll come up with some ideas. Thanks!

I think you could cut up and use part of the OEM box as a sheild.

I just talked to Chris at ADTR and he had some good ideas on where to run some piping to get this working better. I'll get to work on that and post pics hopefully this weekend...

Hum! Wonder if the thru the fender mount from a Mustang kit will fit the CV/MM fender well? That would put the air pick up outside the engine compartment. Just a thought! I know the kit I had on my '99 Cobra was thru the fender......

Chris at ADTR gave me a suggestion and I plan to work on it this weekend. I'll probably use PVC or duct hose. I'll provide pics later. Thanks a lot for the replies!

I know it's an old thread...

Hmm, it's about 75 or 80º here today, I've run it around a few times and it's been easier for me to bark tires with it and once the computer got used to it, it's been quicker by a pinch, and has more growl to it in any range...0mph+ or 60mph+.

Yeah, I see this is an older thread, too. Any progress on that ADTR project, Rider90? Would love to get that air from SOMEWHERE ELSE! Would REALLY love an excuse to install a cowl hood or something!
