Newer BMW 330i

On my way to work this afternoon sitting at a stoplight. Stoplight turns green and I begin to pull off as I'm sipping my Starbucks venti redeye. I hear tires spinning next to me and a Silver 330i starting to pass me.
I'm of course I'm like screw this and hit it without shutting of OD or putting down my coffee. Me and the guy are pretty much even and I'm not really pushing it.
Next light turns Red before we get there and this douch leans out his window and say "Nice try, good looking car but you can't beat German engineering". I look at him and laugh. I say "Let me put down my coffee and maybe I'll actually go WOT this time now that I know you want a race". He looks a little puzzled when I say this.
So I shut off OD and traction control, shift it into 1st gear and rev it to about 1500 rpm. Light turns green and I leave him. I pull off at about 90mph and he meets me at the next light.
I just looked over laughing and said "Learn to buy American or a BMW with some power". He just looks at me like I kicked his dog and slept with his wife. Light turns green and I smoke him again.

Now that there is funny. BMW-Bavarian Mercery Whatabe. I don't race much on the street but there is a 2009 M-3 in my apartment thats be looking me over. I think he wants some, but unsure of the end results. I hope he reads Car & Driver magazine.

Don't know what the specs are on the '09 M3 is but the older ones are easy pickin's with my set up!;)

I thought that this was a bad thing to do. Doesn't it also run the the reverse gear when manually shifted in first? And not to be used in WOT conditions?

Same for manual second, with this this OD Band is also engaged right?

The performance mods I got are 4.10's, custom CAI, and a Scott Beer tune. The 330 i is petty slow for a beemer. I just thought his cocky attitude was hilarious. If you want to race me at a light you should let me know so I can put down my coffee.

I shut OD off when I shifted into 1st gear. I have heard different things either way. Some people say you should not do WOT launches in Drive w/OD off. It just depends on the mood I'm in how I do it. No problems as of yet either way. If it blows up I guess I would have to upgrade.
