I am on the road without my gear and tonight is going to be one of the best ops for long lens users to capture our moon at its closest proximity to the earth in years.

It's clear as a bell here in Cambridge tonight.
I can see (with my new eyes) quite a few features on the lunar surface.

It's AMAZING........ I just went outside to take a peek..... and the moon is so bright it's burning right through the cloud's:eek:

Barry, I didn't notice it until I was going out to meet my wife for dinner. I saw the reflection on a local lake, and wanted so badly to have my camera. Anyhow, I went to dinner, had a few drinks, and here I am with no pictures. My longest lens is my 300mm. I think that would have worked.

Bottom line is, I blew it. The reflection on the lake was awesome. I just missed it. My bad.

Totally forgot about it. Was watching the bunch of episodes of Star Gate: Atlantis that my dvr recorded today. That reminds me I need to go watch the new episode from tonight.
