We were sitting around and I told him I thought our cars would be a good race because they're only about 400lbs apart and similar in Factory HP. His car has upgraded 13G turbo's, 3.5" greedy catback, and about 10psi. There is more in the car but he's not the greatest with tuning.
From 60mph with a locked in 2nd gear start we take off side by side. He grabs 3rd and looses a fender (he's a little slow on the shift, I dont' blame him cause VR-4 tranny's arnt' cheap) About 2 seconds later I grab 3rd and it gets a frim jump with that WOT shift. At this point his front bumper is literally on my back. Once we start getting into the 100's he barely starts inching up. We backed out at around 125 because our computer simulated road was running out. At that time I had his front bumper at my passanger door.
DAMN it was close. We rematched a few times and it was very close. If I'd get a jump though I'd get away pretty quick. If he got the jump I could reel him in with 2nd and the 3rd gear shift. Not to shabby. Although if we had more room I'm sure he would of started walking away with my MM going into OD and his huge advantage with aero. Bullet vs a barn.
We're gona try a light next time we're out goofing off. He won't do a HARD launch (AWD mitsu stuff isn't cheap) so it'll be close.

Heading home from my wife's company x-mas party on the freeway and a AMG C63 full of 16-18 year olds and a new temp tag on the back. They look over and goose it. I figure aw, I can try. I got the jump, hey I deserved it. He walked up, and tore away pretty good. 451 N/A HP walked me pretty good. I need a blower before I pick on an AMG again.
