Well guys heres my first post on here so..... Hi haha

Im Matt from Wilmington Delaware and I just converted to the Marauder from 3 years on the Caprice/Impala side. Great to be here!
I just bought a black 03 with 34,900 miles on it and I'm in love.
I'm 18 years old and I'm a freshman at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY outside Albany.
My last car was a 91 Caprice... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2638287
Its still up for sale( asking $7,500 obo) hehe
It was fun but didn't have the performance that I wanted out of a big car.
90s Impalas are no doubt awesome but from a reliability perspective i decided to go with the Marauder and I have no regrets.
Are there any other Marauder owners in the De,Pa,Nj area? What kind of meets do you guys have? And are there any major National level meets that people flock to every year?
Once again its good to be here and I look forward to meeting everyone at some point.

PS: I'm Still a member on the ImpalaSS forum so if anyone wants to know anything about what they are up to let me know - They treat the Marauder as "The Dark Side" over there hahaha

Welcome :welcome1: to the MM.Net, Matt.

There are local, regional and national meets all the time. Check out the forums for the Capital Area Marauders (CAM) and the Northeast Marauders. Things slow down a bit during the winter; but activities will pick up again in the Spring.

Upcoming regional meets include Lousiville, KY in March-April and Carlisle, PA "All Fords" Event in June. Eastern Regional has held an annual event in Ohio several times as well. And, there is a regional gathering for Oktoberfest in Seymour, IN as well.

2009 will see the 7th annual gathering of Marauder Owners at a place/location To Be Determined. We call it Marauderville VII.

So far there have been national events in:

Marauderville I (Round-Up) - Ennis, TX
Marauderville II - Indianapolis, IN
Marauderville III - Detroit, MI
Marauderville IV - Orlando, FL
Marauderville V - Hagerstown, MD
Marauderville VI - St. Louis, MO
Marauderville VII - TBD

Come On out and meet the gang. :D

Gee, we finally got someone smart on the site...Rensselaer Poly! Matt, you can use your engineering skills to figure how we can put these cars on a weight loss program. We need to hit 4,000 lbs, the minimum weight for the annual Southern Heavyweight Shootout in Atlanta, first week in November. you will see lots of Marauders and Impala SSs racing each other and the new HEMIs.

Welcome
