Buster Smith years ago owned Grand Mufflers and Grand Bending, he decided to throttle back, so he sold the contents of the building Grand Bending leased, out Grand mufflers, and moved home but still maintained some clients and equipment, he originally did my super charger pipes, and they were perfect, but he sold Grand Bending the templates were lost and it was a nightmare after that, many of you do not realize how difficult it is to have the pipes made, I have to order the pipes pre bent then I have to have them Tig Welded, then powder coated, the cost is VERY high, long story Short, Buster has now opened Exotic Exhaust close to Atlanta, so any one living in this area can now have the best custom exhaust work done in the area, he is going to be doing all my pipes in a Mandrill bend, this will save me money but more important is TIME. I am going to talk to him about becoming a vendor here.

Good, I have gone back to stock MM mufflers, custom 2.5" out the back to delete tips because it's just the right amount of back pressure that ups my low end torque greatly and I need the pipes that go from the end of your single cat set up to the stock mufflers. They are about 12" long.

Get him to make a 2.5" Cat-Back system and sell it as a vendor.

I would think the neutered cars w/ the single exhaust Y up front and then only have one muffler ( no H pipe)

If it just has a open end on the front part then just take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld it all up to fit. Any cat-back system I have ever bought I used the band clamps as a temp until I could get the system welded up.

THe question is whether they will use stainless wire (I would be extremely surprised if a muffler shop did). Band clamps w/ stainless is a better solution than migging stainless w/ mild wire, that will rust out.

Exactly! Even just a pipe kit and we add the mufflers.

CV/MGM/TC have Y pipe on the base model ( i cant think of any town car with a Y pipe)

an LX/LS/HPP/Sport will come with the same dual exhaust that we have. 03+ for all panthers are the same.

Well he has forgot most of what any of us would know about exhaust, so no comments are necessary, except I have met him. And I respect him, and I know he does impeccable work, enough said.

No problems AT ALL with his work quality Dennis. I understand that is good stuff.

I was referring to other things, non parts related.

That's what I'm talking about!
Now just run off copies on the assembly line - even if it's just pre-bent pipes. I'll weld them up on the car myself!
2 1/2" please.

Quick question based on the underbelly picture:WHY does Ford put those holes with rubber plugs in the floor pans? They rust soo darn fast it isn't fit. All their cars seem to have them and they all rust out. Its not like they need to be there for drainage or anything. Is it for manufacturing purposes? They are the worst bloody idea Ford ever had. I even remember the old Comet had them and this is where virtually all of the floors started rusting out. Buggers....

Floor pan location holes. Used for when the floor pan goes from one welding buck station to another.

Lets keep this on track, makes no difference who worked where, or where they are they now. Buster still owns the buildings, where Grand Muffler was, he still owns the biulding where grand bending is, which is in the same parking area as Grand muffler, another company leases the building. Buster has nothing to do with this comapny, he has started his own shop at a different location. And he is the one that started it all. I am sure glad to see he is back.
