Weak battery, what is the question? The battery had baaaaaarely enough voltage to turn the starter over and it took a second to nudge the engine over enough that it could get a solid crank in.

If you ever hear an old car with a weak battery that can barely crank, it will go .............crank............ crank...........crank. Sounds like you caught it on the ..............crank cycle. Having accessories already drawing the battery down did not help. I would put an OE replacement battery in. I don't think any of the aftermarket batteries are going to be as good or better than the OE battery.

jump it, if it starts, then it was probably your battery. have your battery/alternator tested to make sure its a bad battery.
buy a motorcraft battery

What is the temperature and how old is the battery?
What weight oil are you using?

Motorcraft is the best especially Group 65!
Good Luck!

Just a reminder to follow the instructions in the operators manual
when replacing the battery...Very important!

If you aren't using synthetic oil, you might also try that. It won't solve the problem but the cars I run full synthetic in seem to turn over easier when it is very cold.

Just had a new Interstate battery put in (1000 CCA). Cost $120. Oil changed (Mobil 1), and snow tires all around, today. Had to drive Mr. Man's Titan pickup to work while my car was in the shop. Rather enjoyed it.;) 340HP

Something everyone should check for winter and when buying a used car.

Why everyone? I don't drive my Marauder in winter.... that's modification time!
