So I am going to start planning out a central texas meet. I was thinking we could do a lime creek road run.

For those who have not heard of it, here is a google map:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=lime+creek+road,+austin,+tx&sll=37.09024,-95.712891&sspn=43.934478,79.101563&ie=UTF8&ll=30.451707,-97.906508&spn=0.023455,0.038624&t=h&z=15&iwloc=addr

I believe it is about an 11 mile run. It is hugely fun and I think it would be a great ride for everyone. I am also hoping to include some other groups as well. Here is a short clip of it I took in my new car :)

I am thinking mid January, what do you all think?

Yes, Yes, this is the same area that SID210 and I joined with the SHO guys from DFW. I don't think we were on Lime Creek though.

Mid January may be a bit too soon after the XMas expense, How about Mid March, warmer and the area should be dryer.

The Texas hill country is definitely a good place to drive. But I'm open past 1 Feb.

Good suggestion.

Way way cool...I'm in for most any weekend runs coming up. I think another idea would be a bluebonnet run later in the spring...so many great roads west of Austin...thinking up around Briarcliff (we can stop by Willies golfcourse for a cold one) or a bit west of there out on 71.

There is a place that has the worlds' best "chicken fried steak", some call it "country fried steak, and it's Tombull, Texas. A small burg north west of the outer loop, Houston, Texas. It was featured on the History channel a few weeks ago.

Ok, so what I am thinking is that we meet at the salt lick for BBQ around 11am or 12pm, then go for an afternoon drive up to limecreek road. I am working on an exact route. I will post more as I can. We also need to come up with a weekend to do it on. Sid, what weekend can you make in say Feb and March?

As you know the Lousiville Regional is set for 26 March. There are about four of us NTM's going, so if it's possible let do this in February.
