Here is a 04 we will be doing this week, the owner came in yesterday, and dropped the car off, we will be doing a complete photo shoot of the install.

Here is a multi part photo shoot of the 04 install, first of all I started today at 8AM I fixed the GT towed in yesterday it had a fried alternator, so I started on Gregg's car, first thing I did was take pictures of the stock setup. I would like to stress that every part for this Kit is made here in the USA

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1229899103-stpsr.jpg
Now we first remove the plugs on the passenger side and the rigid heater tube, keep the OEM clamps, the line has 13MM bolt in the front a 8MM by the manifold, we installed NGK TR6 pugs gapped at .35 and had anti seize on them.
http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1229899290-clearing%20holes.jpg
Here is the tool I use and as shown here is the OEM PCV this will actually be return we install a EV111 on the drivers side.

Now the stock PCV is not a check valve and should not be used, I use this as a the return because PCV id recirculated metered air and should be maintained. I use a EV111 that is designed to blow completely closed under boost. I place this on the drivers side valve cover and tun it to the intake where the OEM plastic PSV did go I use fuel pressure hose so it cannot collapse under vacuum

Now lets move to the radiator fan and power steering reservoir, and the OEM air box it has three rubber shock mounts you will need these later. Years ago I sourced a fan that allows for better clearance, what you get is a brand new fan but you take that motor and blade out install the OEM Marauder fan and that way its plug and play no wires to cut.

The fan is held in by 2 8MM bolts keep these

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1229901247-OEMFAN.JPG
You can turn the OEM upside down and pop of the blade retaining clip the remove the blade and fan motor

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1229901378-OEMFANMOTOR.JPG
Now take the new fan motor and blade out of the new fan shroud, you will not need this install the OEM Marauder fan motor and blade in there.

Next we removed the OEM PSR when we took the fan off it has a shot hose going to the PS cooler has 2 OEM clamps remove them and the hose after emptying out the trans fluid in the reservoir, you will relocate this on the drivers vendor well.

Some real nice man called me Friday, I spoke to him for about 15 minutes he said he was looking into buying a used NOIC kit, I told him to call you and I would help him any way I can, I now use the new 45 pound injectors since the apple green 42 as well as the cobra blue are going away, and all he would need would be a Xcal, injectors and a belt which vortech sent me for free since it was a error on there part. I am going to have all this made up in a booklet with instructions, but I have had pictures of installs that many here have used in the past, and successfully installed NOIC kits as well as A/A kits, and I give my home # as well as my cell# out for any questions, right now they are installing a Novi 1200 out in Utah on the first CNG CVPI, this will be the first known SC on a CNG car in the USA, they are running 2 injectors per cylinder on this car, and they are planning to buy ten more, so David I hope the man I spoke to contacts you, and I wish you and your family a good holiday.

OK lets start with the fuel pump today, in the past I used the Focus pump, in the high RWHP cars you will need to go to a dual pump and probably a BAP, but now we have the GT super car pump, so to begin with be sure to run the car to about a 1/8th of a tank, disconnect the fuel line with the proper tool disconnect the wiring on the top of the tank is the vapor sensor this plug is a @@##$$ to get to but if you take your time and get a 90 degree hose tool in there you can release the connector tab.
http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1229993363-GASTANKSENSORRELEASE.JPG
Then remove the 8MM bolts around the tank hat break the seal. What you need to do is get a large pry bar wedge it at the passenger side of the gas tank get the exhaust out of the way and the pump will come out be careful not to damage or bend the float.

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1229993564-OEMPUMP1.JPG
Remove the OEM pump clip the wires use the two enviro splices install the pump with new sock.

Now lets start on the Supercharger, first of all there are three bolts to be removed from the front timing cover.

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1229994282-BOLTREMOVAL.JPG
Now lets go to the belt tensioner on some Marauders they have a flange that must be cut away not every Marauder has this.
http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1229994509-BELTTENTIONER.JPG
Here is a neat tool I had made years ago that really helps in installing the SC belt especially when the SC is on the car.
http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1230000170-BELTTENT.JPG
Next is the watter cross over tube, years ago I had to charge a core because I had to have the crossover tube extended by 1" Charley Fisher had a great idea about having a adapter made so we did and it works perfect. You also need to install a 90 degree coolant sensor adapter so it clears the SC.

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1229994943-CROSSOVERINST.JPG
The kit comes with some aluminum spacer stock this must be cut and placed under and on top of the coolant cross over tube, I have all this in a PDF for all of you.

SC install the SC must be clocked at the 6 O'Clock position so when you use a Allen wrench a trick is leave the screws loose and cut the Allen wrench so it will fit behind the bracket with the blower installed to aid in alignment of the SC inner cooler pipes.

Lower radiator hose and cooling reservoir mod, when KB did his kit he just used the OEM coolant reservoir, but it really did not look right and you had to cut the passenger vendor lining so I sourced the older CV reservoir that fits perfect and and the lower radiator hose that has the longer hose to go to it so no splices or band clamps are needed. You do have to cut the hose at the radiator lower fitting and the the T stat fitting. Now is the time to install a 180 degree T stat.

http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1229996321-HOSEMODCUTHERE.JPG
The T stat is held in by 2 8MM bolts the T stat is held in by a o'ring just pull it out install the new stat and stick the o'ring back and put it all back together.

Who stole my DTR and took it to FL? I see from this post that the Kooks make exactly 20hp more than the Cobra Exhaust I bought from you. Before the FI install my car was identical to that one. Very interested to see what the numbers are. A NOIC setup would work well for me up north here.

Tomorrow in goes on the dyno Steve has got Davids engine out we are installing brass freeze plugs, one of the issues I have found is the Marauder needs more current at the the fuel pump, not on all of them but some do so you have to use a BAP or what I do is run a 10 gage, this allows for more current. We use the wire from the battery to the FPDM in the trunk I use the normal power to switch the relay to to carry the the higher current to the FPDM most of the time it works if not we will go with a BAP.
http://web.iwebcenters.com/reinhartautomotive/images/session/00-00-1230690884-fpdm.JPG
As shown here is the inertia switch power comes in the red wire goes out the white wire to the FPDM in the event the car is hit in the rear hard the inertia switch will pop, problem is car jackers know this and can bump you from behind then your car is disabled, some of my customers have opted for a toggle switch. I will not install it but I can tell you how to do it.

Please let me know how this works out, if it does not I would go with a BAP, but as as I said Gregg's car had the same issue and by installing the relay with the 10 gage wire this allows for more current to your GT pump.

Beautiful looking install. And what a clean looking engine bay! It almost seems like there are more "built" Marauders these days than "stockers". It also looks like this car could easily be making good power out to almost 6700 rpm - if it didn't have stock internals, that is. Its one of the reasons I went to the forged everything - I want to be able to take advantage of the hp that is still sitting out there beyond 6200 rpm.

Well it has been two years since Gregg's install, he visits Florida every year to spend Christmas with family, the car now has 40K on it and it has a Novi 1500 SL LTH electric watter pump PI converter, built transmission, MMDS.
So we serviced the car while he was here yesterday, and I wanted to check the tune, and I am glad we did, the car was running lean at WOT, FP was falling off, so after some checking we found, a small hole in the flexible fuel line that runs to the pump, so we changed the pump and the line put the car back on the dyno installed his original tune and and made some small changes, and the car made more power than most I have seen, 473 RWHP, so we dialed it back and this will be his race tune, and then we adjusted the shift points and lock up, and he is on his way to South Florida. He called and is averaging 20 MPG.

Dennis,
I just want to thank you again for all the time and effort you spent hunting down the fuel problem and redoing my shift schedule. Most shops would have given up when there was not an easy answer to the fuel problem.
As always, I enjoyed having dinner with you and Shelia and having a few Sea
Breezes.
Hope that all have a wonderful Christmas and a prosrerous New Year.
Thanks again.
Greg
