Got some new back treads, trying to buy someone elses spare winter sets or spare last years whatevers and waiting for BFG to run another batch got old. We don't really get tons of snow here, so screw it, I went with these. They are sitting next to my winter "beater". Total was 239 bucks, shipped to my door the day after I ordered them.

I havn't put them on yet, they are in the trunk, I'm going to finish smoking what's left of the craptastic BFG's. 72 thousand miles, FIFTH set of back tires. I guess it doesn't help that each time I get behind the wheel I pretend the gas peddle is the neck of a certain politician, and I'm determined to put my foot completely and repeatedly and viloently thru it.

Last week I noticed I was losing power and sitting at a light the car would stutter. Also, when leaving from a dead stop, the car would be slow to gain speed but the RPM's would be climbing in a not so normally equal proportion. Bought some NGK TR55IX Iridiums, swapped them in. Problem solved. When I turned the key, I kid you not, it was the fastest the Maraduer ever cranked. For the most part, the old plugs were fairly clean. The one pictured is the worst.

I'm going to pull that replacement plug come spring, see if it, too, is jacked up. If so, it could be a sign. Of what I have no idea, I'm not a mechanic. I was going to go with stock Motorcraft replacements being as they are made in U.S.A., but I'm still pissed about my tax dollars bailing out failing automotive related businesses. ****ers should be sending me FREE plugs. Whatever. My American (built in Canada) auto now runs plugs made in Japan. I think the tires are made in Japan, too.
Well almost time to watch Da Bears/Packers game, woo hoo!

I have had those on the rears for about 1 1/2 years with 10,000 miles. They still look like new. I also put on a set of 255/cantremeber Kumo fronts. I think they were an acs or something. So far they have been great. Let me know if anyone wants to see pics of the fronts, or the front rear combo (it does increase the rake slightly).

Anyway, good choice and good luck.

Do they smoke good when you do a burnout?

They are so meaty I can hardly roll them over. I guess it is time for some forced induction:)

Yes Sir, by all means, show the fronts. I'm tired of the BFG's up there, too!

I'd like to see the side profile of front and back installed when you get a chance.

They are 255/45, and they have about 8000 miles on them. No complaints.

You're running 255/45's on front and 255/55's in back. Any problems with traction control or ABS?

No traction control issues. If anything it actually delays the traction control from coming on as quickly as it should. It has not been enough to notice.

I will be sure to tell my wheel wells to clean up their act. I couldn't make it past the dirt on the rest of the car to even worry about the wheel wells

I just swapped plugs out to, it seems like throttle response is back to 100%.

My worst looking plug was the drivers side rear, it had more oil on the threads than the others, thats about it.

Mine was second from the front, passenger side. My numbnutz buddy that works at a Ford dealer says "Why didn't you tell me you were going to do it, I could have gave you plugs AND coils." Friends, sometimes they are always there to help...when you've finished the work!
