Ray it's nice to be able to put a face behind these keyboards, I'm sorry to see you in this situation. This chapter in your life has ended, but sounds like you're opening a new door of adventure. Ray please keep us posted, once again thank you for your dedicated service.

Ray, we feel for your loss, and your family is in our prayers. We are your family, and we will get through this. Crandall Ford closed it's doors after 40+ years in business in Northeast Ohio, two of our friend lost their jobs at that time.

Ray,
I am sorry, I can only pray you are snatched up by a local dealer who needs someone of your experience to work for them. I was touched by the newscast and I can honestly say that the boss they showed really cared for his people and was very sorry for the whole family of workers there. I hope 2009 brings bigger and better things for you and your family.

Yeah...that really hits home.
We're so sorry for the position you are in Ray.
You know we all love and support you.
Your interview brings back memories of my child hood in the early 1970's.
You remind me of my father.
I remember coming home from school, and seeing my father in his lounge chair weaping.
I asked him what was wrong and he explained that after 36 years of employment, he was just let go and the Akron Firestone Plant One was being closed forever. He was one year short of what would have been a full retirement package.
I didn't quite understand at the time. But now I fear, as a lot of fear, that the end of our careers may be just around the corner.
Stay strong Ray!

I know how you feel Ray. I wasn't at Magarity as long as you were at Northeast Ray, but I was just shy of 10 years. The last day of November was my last day. Sales will try to sell off the rest of the cars through December, but parts and service was closed. I don't know where I'll go.

It's hard to say goodbye to a job you've held for so many years. Even harder to know an entire industry is on it's knees. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family tonight.

Sorry to hear the bad news. The Dodge dealership down the street from me just closed this past year. I remember spending many days down there looking at Super Bee's, Chargers, Dart Swingers , Bengal Chargers and of course the white Daytona that sat in the showroom. It can really break your heart to see what's happening.
