Thought that y'all might find this interesting...
It's obviously a sales "hook" to get you to come in and buy a new car...but I thought it was pretty clever...it does what it was designed to do...catch your attention...

Same here ..... so into the trash it goes.
Ironically its not my marauder but my parent's late model Honda odyssey that keep getting these things. All the same, its the same with me, I won't be parting with my MM anytime in the foreseeable future!
And also, a word of advise to you and anyone else here, black out you personal info on such pictures. This is a public forum and Jack Hazzor off the web can walk in and steal your identity with you name, address, and one of those bar codes.

My wife got a few of those type of letters but she doesn't own a Marauder she owns a Pontiac Grand Prix so all of the letters have been from GM dealerships (Chevy, Buick, Pontiac).
The reason why people are getting them is dealers and finance companies are selling peoples info to get a little extra money. I've only ever gotten ads like that when I financed something and never when I paid cash for a vehicle.

I constantly get letters advertising mercury vehicles and that I should turn in my 2003 Grand Marquis today.
Never going to happen.

This is the old "Wouldchatake" card scam updated. In years gone by
some car salesmen would go to shopping areas and put their business cards under the wipers with a hand written note that said " Would you take $XXXX
for this car? I have some one wanting a (insert make and model) and I'm
willing to pay you way above the market.

I've been getting tons of mail wanting me to buy their extended warranties for the cars I've had in the past 5 years, some of them are deliberately made up to look like they're from Ford or the dealer.Turns out the Illinois Secretary of State's,our version of the DMV,office sells info on who bought vehicles to anybody so I get all the junk mail. One outfit is still trying to sell me their junk for a Taurus wagon I sold 2 years ago after only having it for 1 week.
Every body and their brother is busy making a few extra bucks selling your info to mailing lists,a few years ago I contributed to WTTW,a local PBS station and I got so much junk mail it was unbelieveable. For a long time I couldn't figure out why and where it came from but after some careful checking the way they addressed it to me I found little clues that linked it to channel 11,WTTW.I called and confronted them and they admitted to it but claimed when I contributed they gave me the option to not have my info sold.i told them to take my info off of any and all lists and never to give it out again. The local pizza joint has also been selling customers names and addresses and I got on them to remove my name from any lists they sell as I was extremely displeased.Since then I've switched who I get my pizzas from after telling the manager at the former place why they lost my business after 20 years and I told the new places manager I wouldn't put up with it from them selling my info or they'd lose me too.

I get one of those about three times a year saying that they want my 95 T-bird Super coupe.
The only problem is that I sold it in 04 to buy my MM, FAF.
